Why must it take up the entire bike? And why is it 2018 and there isn’t a “Custom Graphic Creator” mode, where you can go in and customize/create every little decal on the bike, like you would create “liveries” in FORZA. You could make thousands upon thousands of different logos, colorways, designs, all created with shapes and lines, like in FORZA. Then we could have a “‘Graphics Marketplace” where people could share and sell their designs to people. You could even pay people to create you really good graphics for your bike if they were good at it. That would just open up so much creativity for the game.
Edit: What’s up with being able to move and change size of the side plate numbers, when you can’t move or delete the AMA and FIM decals, that look out of place, once you do move the number decals on the plate? That’s just another “little thing” that has me shaking my head.
Now, obviously I understand that the “Custom Graphics Creator” would probably be something we wouldn’t see until another game release, so even though I am let down on that end, I will point out that racing multiplayer online races last night was an absolute BLAST! The gameplay is fun. If they could just get all the small things right, it could be perfect. I swear they need to get a bunch of us moto nuts in there before they start creating a game, and we could all create a massive list of all the “small things” that are needed. Rant done. Hope to see your boys out on the track tonight
None of the MXGP games has ever had SHIFT, only Fox.
I assume this is because Fox only paid for themselves, and Alias & Spy didn't pay whatever it costs to be represented in the game.
Some of the European gear company options are merely carry overs from the MXGP games.
I am on PS4 pro with a physical copy and I’m loving the game. I don’t have any camera glitches or frame rate issues that I can think of.
I decided to to do the career mode, and started with 250 West. When I selected it, it had me pick my bike, rider, gear, ect. . . though when I went to go do a race, I was just stuck in that screen. I could select different options, and click on them, though there was no response. So I ended up having to go to the PS4 Home Screen and shutting the game down.
After launching the game again, it did the exact same thing! It was at that point that I realized that the bike was a 450, so I closed the app again, and went back in, and cleared my career history. When I went back in to the 250 West, I was on a 250.
After that, I kept getting these errors that said I was unable to connect to server data base, or something along those lines. Though the game played fine.
The biggest complaint is the load times though. I shouldn't have to wait for sometimes up to two minutes to switch in between menu options. The game play itself is good though.
that said, i switched to manual transmission and talk about a complete difference. i don't know how i ever played with auto tranny. took me a bit to get used to it, but you don't have to shift very often and if you shift how you would in real life it actually works. stoked on that. now if i could only play the fucking piece of shit game for longer than 10 minutes without restarting then i'd be happy. big ol' authentic fuckin' turd.
i read on FB today that they pushed a patch out to PC but i didn't see anything about PS4 or XBone. anyone confirm?
It has been a rough launch, but I'm happy about the fact that I enjoy the gameplay enough to have fun just running time attack until some of the other issues are resolved.

Also, I know the clutch doesn't do a lot but I'll take that any day over the nitro clutch some games stick us with. Careful what you wish for. Developers often go from one extreme to the other.
As excited as I was about this game I can honestly say that it has exceeded my expectations. Bugs can be fixed. And they are working on it. I'm excited to have such a thirough Supercross gaming experience.
The problem with Milestone's career mode is (and always has been) the fact that the AI is terribly inconsistent. Take Chaz for instance. Here's a character who won three rounds in dominating fashion, I mean walked off with the races. He has failed to make the night show for two other races. WTF? This same scenario played out in all of the MXGP games. You think you're about to have a competitive series battle with a rider, and he suddenly falls off the face of the earth.
When I was playing F1, there were series where myself and another driver (or drivers) would battle out for the entire season. The AI was actually "I". I can accept a rider crashing out of a race, and not scoring points, but failing to qualify? After you've been dominating? Nah. While it has some warts, I really like the game, and I've been a fan of Milestone's efforts since MXGP1, but come on. This is a reoccurring theme. If this thing is supposed to be realistic, then lets make it realistic. If the guys at Codemasters can do it, then the devs at Milestone should be able to do it.
I have a hard time playing the game in third person – you really see the flaws in the physics, interaction with other riders, stiffness of your own rider, etc. But, when you put it in first person the game really comes to life. They really nailed the speed feeling and the first person battles are a shit ton of fun.
