I guess one debate I have is to mess with the jetting. The original owner was in New Jersey which is at sea level. I brought it back to Pittsburgh which is roughly 1,300-1,700ft. I got the JD jet kit with the bike and haven't looked at it yet. I will say when I got it home it fired up first kick and that video clip I posted is it barely warmed up. It seemed fairly crisp just reving it and for the little 2nd gear sprint down the road.

You’ll have to wait and see. My ‘18 SX250 was rich when it’s hot out and the JD kit helped a lot. I have since removed it and rejetted it with a different slide to be even more spot on.

Why was the guy getting rid of the bike? I mean 8 hours is nothing. His loss, your gain.
Sorry I missed this. He was in his 40's and had a 17 Husky 350 and said he got the bug to get a 250 2stroke. Said he liked it initially but kept saying "she just wasnt the bike for me" and said he is going back to the 350 and how the 350 just fits him a lot better now.

AJ....may I ask what slide you used? Is it a modified one or pulled from another carb?

I have a 5.75 slide from a 2004 KX125. Stock is 4.0 There is a thread going in the tech help section for a '17 Husky and all the specs are there for the slide, needle and needle jet.

Well I have a similar concern. Over the years I adapted to the style of riding for a 450 4 stroke (lazy). Like when I enter turns, and whatnot. I would put my 450 in 3rd a lot and lug it around...use the engine to brake...keep smooth on the throttle to keep speed up etc. I recall years back I had to adapt to that....now I wonder if I will be able to go back to the more "aggressive" style of riding a 2 stroke.
250 two stroke is much easier to get use to than a 125. You can still be pretty lazy on one.

Lol just the answer I was looking for. I like a bike that is a handful to handle when being aggressive but you can still be a little lazy when you want to be.

I was going to put "Spoke to my wallet" but didnt know if that was lame now. I am a lil old school I guess.
It’s lame, but is kind of a Vital thing now. I think we’ve all gotten used to it.

My bad for taking so long. This is 2018 jetting. Since your from France I assume they maybe didn't update jetting for your countries bikes ? But that seems weird it wouldn't get new 18 updates given huskys track record of updating models world wide with similar specs. They helped mine run a tad better off the bottom but I feel it still needs improvement. The more I mess with it honestly just makes me appreciate my set it and forget it ( figuritively) Keihn carbs and that is what will end up on my bike. This was more of a test to if it was improvment.

Just sold my KX250F. Does everyone love their TC250? Anything you dont like? Was going to do a nice CR250 project but the Husky seems pretty good from the dealer. Also, mind sharing what you guys paid?

I don't think you can go wrong with the TC250. Great bike right off the floor.
