Tomorrow I should be picking up a 2019 KTM 150sx. I found a nice clean stock bike with 33 hours. I been riding a TC250 two stroke for the last couple years (coming off of 10 years on 450's) and .this last year I got a yz125 to dabble in the small bore bikes for my second bike. I loved...

So I picked up a 2018 TC250 (started another thread for it) and I am trying to get some ideas for graphics. My buddy is a graphic designer and can whip up whatever I want so I have a lot of options I guess. So lets see your 17+ Husky....Here is how mine sits now

So I been riding Honda 450 4strokes for the last 10+ years and decided I wanted to go back to my roots of the good ole 2 strokes. I been eyeing up the TC250 and 250SX since they did the redesign in 2017. I found a good deal on a used 2018 TC250 with only 8 hours. Has a PC...

Lol just the answer I was looking for. I like a bike that is a handful to handle when being aggressive but you can still be a little lazy when you want to be.

Sorry I missed this. He was in his 40's and had a 17 Husky 350 and said he got the bug to get a 250 2stroke. Said he liked it initially but kept saying "she just wasnt the bike for me" and said he is going back to the 350 and how the 350 just fits him a lot better...

I guess one debate I have is to mess with the jetting. The original owner was in New Jersey which is at sea level. I brought it back to Pittsburgh which is roughly 1,300-1,700ft. I got the JD jet kit with the bike and haven't looked at it yet. I will say when I got it home it fired up...

I forgot to add...he included a 49 tooth sprocket he tried out but said it seemed to leave a deadspot. I think I will ride as is with the stock 50 tooth before I decide to give it a try.

Yep that is it. Cool guy very legit to deal with...I ended up getting it for 6k and he was nice enough to meet me and take 2 hours off my 6 hour trip. Very happy so far

Well I have a similar concern. Over the years I adapted to the style of riding for a 450 4 stroke (lazy). Like when I enter turns, and whatnot. I would put my 450 in 3rd a lot and lug it around...use the engine to brake...keep smooth on the throttle to keep speed up etc. I recall years back I...

I was going to put "Spoke to my wallet" but didnt know if that was lame now. I am a lil old school I guess.

It seems the couple of critical responses are riders who race a lot at a higher level. I am ride 99% of the time on a practice track and now trying to get my 7 year old son into riding. I am not B or A level, just "some guy" who rides for fun when I don't have too much...

Seems like the response is I will have a lot of fun on the TC250/250SX and the only downside may be is the 450 is easier to be consistent and maybe slightly faster on...less overall work. Not sure if I will care much considering I mainly go to practice tracks and just do it for pure fun.

Has anyone went from a 450 to a 2017 or newer Husky TC250 or KTM 250SX? Or anyone rode or own one? Since the redesign I am considering jumping back over to 2 strokes. With updates to suspension, frame, motor, etc these new 2 strokes have gotten some awesome reviews. I currently have a 08 CRF450R and love that bike...
