Pick a rider, he has a 1 in 3 chance of scoring you 15 points. If you were going to pick a first lap leader, the triple crown events is when you do it.

From my understanding, if you picked say Justin Barcia, he he gets every first lap lead, its still 15 points? or Is it 45? That's my only question.

Everyone does realize this isn't ebay, facebook, amazon, google, etc... that can handle heavy server loads. Just a few guys trying to provide and build a GAME. It will get better.

According to the show on Monday, they were going to go to separate servers that had the ability to expand if needed. I don't know how all that works, but they have had 2 rounds to get a feel for the traffic that they need to be able to handle. It's not a good look when they still aren't prepared.

Determining demand is tough. You can't go on solely subscriptions or accounts. Like the gentleman above noted "Some ppl have lifes and have kid activities", lol .. so knowing when everyone are going to log in and demand server access is a tough row to hoe.

You could have had a beta test right, a "practice" for lack of a better word. But do you really believe the same demand will show up for a practice run preseason like in the heat of the season pulp is experiencing right now? With any new venture, there will be challenges and bumps in the road.
Determining traffic isn’t tough 3 rounds in.
Different venues have nothing to do with traffic.
After all the issues the first week, in my business we would have nuked it the second round to overkill the service and back down from there a few weeks later.
I am sympathetic to their cause, but seems like baby steps are being applied weekly.
Hope they get it going tonight but I’m out to dinner party and won’t have a team picked this round, sux

It is frustrating when stuff like this doesn't work, but at the same time, they're offering a great game with a chance to win great prizes. It's still a very new site and they are working hard to get it sorted. I think there's a lot of overreaction to this. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I can honestly say I've not had a single issue trying to log in or pick my team

I can understand that. My feeling is that the server should be big enough to handle max demand plus a buffer. I don't really know how it all works so maybe that isn't reasonable, but I have a hard time believing it's that expensive. As for a beta test, they have had 2 rounds to get a feel for what max demand is probably going to be. I was defending them after the first two rounds because I understand the guessing game. Bottomline, it's fixed.

I've been out of it for quite a while, so I can't speak on modern server cost. It is a REAL cost. If you have a account set up for a particular server, keep in mind server = processing power and storage. No different than our cell phone or personal computer / tablet. Your phone can handle a few calls right? Can it handle 5000 calls? Nope. You would have to upgrade your hardware tremendously. Obviously you don't want to pay for more than you need..If you see the demand is higher than expected, it just not a flip of a switch..
I figured it would cost more but just no clue how much more. I would think think it gets relatively cheaper as you go bigger. Marx did say they were going to a separate server, and would have the ability to increase it if needed. My thing is why not go way big and back it down as needed? People paid for a service that requires them to participate 100% (well now they are dropping a round) of the rounds for them to get what they paid for. It doesn't seem worth it to even flirt with the risk of people missing another round.

I've had no trouble this week, actually. But I realize I'm in the minority.

I totally agree. I think in a microwave instant internet society we are living in, sometimes we need to have a reality check when we operate in a sub culture mx game start up if you know what I mean.

BTW, my picks have been in, my Wed team, I watched live timing on the pulp fantasy site, adjusted my team and added my first lap players for the triple crown A2 tonight while i've been typing in this thread. Now its been a little slow, I had to log out and back in 2 times, but I got it all sorted in 10 min.

They over promised on unique features pre-season which have all fell flat on their ass!

I applaud their effort here but when it's a paid-for-service, after three weekends it needs to be relatively nailed! This ain't no charity to them, they're making coin, being cheap with their seemingly week by week little increments before realising it dropping anchor on raceday makes it come across as a absolute shambles!

Try logging out then back in again.

I had trouble earlier this week selecting my team, Logged out, logged back in and has been fine every since.

Updated my team for tonight about 30 minutes ago, no dramas.

Then took a screen shot of my team just in case shit goes bad LOL

If you are really having trouble try clearing your cache/history/cookies and logging in again. I think with some browsers and settings and Marx having to move things around this can create some sort of "loop-back" issues where older cached pages won't work properly. But I'm not an IT guy.

I wasn't able to get on during race day the last two weeks, so this week I made my picks yesterday so I would at least have a team and would switch them around after qualifying. Go figure I couldn't get logged in and 3 of my 8 picks didn't start or didn't qualify.

I could care less about the $30. It's the shit talking from my buddy in our league that has me pissed about the site.

I ended up logging on with my phone and using the mobile site. For whatever reason that worked. I couldn't even log out on the desktop version. It was just totally locked up to anything I tried to do on it.
