My dad and I are staying at the Springhill Suites on Old Spanish Trail. Was just going to leave the rental car parked there and walk to the stadium down North Stadium drive, anything to worry about around there?

They change the VIN with a bike that is clean.
The problem is that the Police
a) don't check motor numbers
b) don't know what year or model bikes they are looking at.

The "Dome" and NRG is part of 15E10's beat. That is technically Southwest Houston which isn't much better than Southeast Houston. And to those that ARE bringing bikes........Why on God's green earth would you store them in a truck or trailer (locked or not) parked in a hotel/motel parking lot. That's like asking for someone to steal it. You would be better served parking your trailer at Rio or 3 Trees. Better yet, hit me up and you can park them in my garage in Kingwood. My little racer now turned college senior, should be home watching the show on tv and he knows where my SBR is if SHTF.

726, I stopped reading after you said walk............

But why tho? Uber probably just cost you a few bucks

All in all, walking to the stadium is not an unsafe thing to do, just do it with some purpose. Just as you would in any other large metropolitan area.

Impound everyone.
Watch and see if anyone shows up saying they want their bike back with a bill of sale that can be validated..

Spiders will be making cobwebs first.

I think a lot of you overestimate what outsiders think of the sport. But, if the sky truly is falling, why not call the local Houston media to make sure they know what Hanny's doing and possibly get the guy some much needed coverage? That way, instead of them going out and finding something negative about motorcycles, you can drop a positive story right in their laps. Harvey is still very much in the minds of people in Houston, so I'm sure at least one of the TV stations would be interested.

Do you realize how many police ride and know EXACTLY what they are looking at, or at least who does on the dept that they can call?

You can bet your ass they will be lurking the parking lot of every hotel around the stadium looking for bikes. I hate living in Houston and I don't even go into the city. I'm constantly hearing about bikes being stolen and have yet to hear of a single one get recovered.

After being harassed by multiple meth/crack/heroin/glue/paint addicts last year there is no way our family is going to the Minneapolis SX ever again. Supercross is a inner city sport now. No longer interested in that.

I'll be checking in there tomorrow afternoon. We have a group of 12 of us heading in for the weekend, really hoping not to have to deal with anyone trying to steal our shit !! They will be in for a big surprise, if they decide to break in to out trailer. Lol

Riding 3-Palms Friday for a Industry day and the Main on Saturday morning, before heading to SX. Lucky for us, our trailer will be safely in the pits on Saturday night.

Damnit, boy. Damnit.

This place. These people. LOL!!

I don't see anything on that flyer deal about Monster Energy supercross. Looks like two totally separate events.

Kidding. I looked at Google Street view. Its only two blocks walking past Children's Medical Center office building on Stadium Drive. I dont see any issues.

That’s not neiko4k on the bike.

That’s chauncythirsty_ Or chaunceythirsty_ from Cleveland. He’s about 30 years old went to high school in twinsburg Ohio. Has a wrap sheet including battery and assault of a female. He and 3 other nice gentlemen robbed my dad and got away with 2 mint rm85s. Bikes were offloaded to Atlanta.

Scum.

It’s not the hood, the walk shouldn’t be a problem. But I’d drive.

Well... our trailer was safe last night. One night down, 2 to go. Just had a waffle and we are getting ready to head over to 3 palms. The Industry ride day got cancelled, but he invited us over to ride anyway.
The hotel lobby was filled with KTM/ Honda and Geico employees/ mechanics/etc. press day going off right now at NRG
