242 points. First time I've ever played Fantasy. I'm in championship league as well as the Vital and PulpMX Jerkies league.

I loved it. I did ok except the Deano dns. That killed me. I had Pieck but changed it after practice. Dumb move on my part.

First, I want to apologize to everyone who had/is having a lackluster experience. I know there are some who think I’m just incapable of handling the project, and that’s a bummer but it is what it is.

Some may be aware of issues that arose early yesterday afternoon when we started seeing big spikes in traffic. For the technical details read on, otherwise go to the next paragraph. The site uses websockets to communicate with the server for things like chat and live timing and scoring. When the site saw waaaay more traffic than expected, it brought to light a memory leak in the websocket handling that would eventually cause the server to become unresponsive, without actually crashing for some reason. As a quick fix, I separated the socket server from the api server so that things like logging in and saving teams would at least work as expected. Since the system was designed to calculate everything as it happens, and basically couldn’t, it’s thrown off my ability to basically just click “Ok” and finalize results for the event.

Since my live scoring feature couldn’t function as expected, I’ve had to go in and manually make sure all the data is correct from the event before I can finalize and publish the results. I’m being as thorough as I can to make sure no mistakes slip through as far as results from last night go. Along with traveling and helping my wife’s grandparents move today, I’ve been a bit behind the 8 ball.

The site will be updated in a bit with scores and what not. As far as fixing the issue for next week, I’ve figured out how to prevent the memory leak it looks like, and have enough data to simulate and stress test during the week.

Again, I apologize to everyone who had high hopes and were let down. Despite my best efforts (you should have seen dudes face next to me at the stadium when I whipped out the laptop in the middle of the 250 main), last night sucked. But I’m confident that this weekend will go as planned and hopefully make you forget about the bummer that this weekend was.
Still the best league site i've played so well done!

I got 242 and stupidly lost 30 points betting on Kenny and AC to lead the first lap. Dopey.

Q for you Trav, can we get our points from the first round if we join a league afterwards. ie, for whatever reason, I didn't join the Industry Idiots league. Am joined now but showing zero points.

What thinking?

The points showed up, their site was hammered, even more so the front in to their SQL was getting hammered. I did not check yesterday but my points were there today.

On a side note, I was off to a good start, though I went for a "swing for the fences" pick with both classes, Bloss being one of them with a 9 handicap. I was debating between him and Bowers with the same Handicap...damn that bit me in the arse lol. Barcia should have given me a bunch of points especially being worth double; though at the moment I cannot see how each rider scored.

Wow scoring must be real close for everyone, I am ranked much lower than 17th, yet my points are not that far off from yours. This gives me hope as I thought perhaps I did a Tomac and blew the season on the first race.

Dean killed me and so did Filthy Phil, but I am pumped on the rest of the year doing this each and every week. If anyone thought there would not be any glitches and problems the first week has never done anything with IT. The Pulp crew takes a lot of pride in their work and this league will be running without issue within round 3 or 4.

Does anyone know if we will be able to go back and see how many points a rider scored?

I know they are working on the site, so I didn't know if it was something that would be fixed or unavailable.

Can't even seem to find a championship standings list. I mean it would be interesting to see how many points the first guy scored (I sucked pretty badly with 243 points - thanks to Tomac and Bracken Hall...)

Not impressed so far with pulpmxfantasy

I believe individual scoring is coming, you can see the message on the dashboard stating that for now you can see the total points and league standing. It sounds like a more detailed dashboard is coming.

Standing for the championship league still isn't up. Pretty sure he's still working on them. It does show your personal standings for the championship league on your dashboard.

Glad to see that they are dropping the lowest round. In a mildly drunk and severely dumbass move, I'm one of the morans that had Davalos on my 250 team. Can we remove the East guys from the list to save us from ourselves? Wilson crashing out didn't do much for more score either. Here's to hoping this was my worst round.
