Want to thank Stevie again for the advice on making the shocks fit on my 78 CR 250. Contrary to shock builders claims, most piggy back shocks will not bolt up on the CR. Had to modify the shock pocket to allow full rotation of the shock under extension and compression. After installing the shocks, found the reservoirs won't clear the silencer. In my case, we shortened the can of the DG silencer 1.75 inches. We the removed the stinger tube, and took a piece of 4130 tubing and put a slight arch in it. Under full compression, it was very close to contacting the stinger, so we flared it a bit to maintain volume, and put a recess in the bottom of the pipe. Looks simple, but it took a bit of work!
Thanks again Stevie!
