Doofy, what you doing to crash a truck, slamming it in your vein, snorting or smoking?

Hell,i dont get high,i just use my hydros to work my twice as long day for half as much, legally disabled i might add,got the tag and all.

Physical disabled ,some would say mentally.

I always said 3 ways to kick, quit, die or go to jail,so you got 3 choices.

I'm still clean,longest period for long time,years

That's what I was thinking, hopefully his next post will read something like....I'm clean and sober, and feel great.

Rehab doesn't work like some have mentioned it's a lifeline to more drugs plus your deeper in debt

I was in deep for years, (Oxycodone, Oxycontin) Broke my back in 03, had the dreaded hardware and peace of my hip fused into the spine where the break was. Been clean since 2014 and have no inkling to get anymore.

PM me for my # man, sounds like you can use a listening ear of how to start this.

Stamp this,in 5 yrs Chinese fentanyl will be the new meth,be about 2 yrs around here.

Seen it and yeah, had to try. .they get it,mix with a buffer and stamp into white pills to snort.

The mixin is where you can get a hot one and drop you like a tranquilizer dart. It is scarry shit.

But,unstoppable i believe.

Common core math? I get 11 not 14. Or 3 yrs pre surgery?

Where i blew my femur thru my tib plateau my leg is half inch shorter and kicks out 12 degrees with bone one bone knee.

Frankenleg i call it,28 screws and a 14 inch L shaped plate.

Good times

Im still here. Things havent changed as of yet... I was fortunate enough to get a text back from a certain someone, followed by a reply and another week of silence. Ive made my mind up on that program (and the guy running it)

I checked out a place today. It turned out to be just a detox facility. Im looking for inpatient. Im afraid just a week isnt enough time to really change my thinking.

Put myself in precipitated withdrawal again trying subutex and it was too soon. The only was I could describe it is having the horrified feeling of sittin at the window seat on an airplane and ya know its going down. Well, at least in that scenario, its over with quick, as apposed to projectile vomiting, shaking, shivering and feeling like theres a furnace burning inside you. Take a normal withdrawal timeline of say a week or so, and in precip w/d it shortens allllll that withdrawal down to about 8 hours. My room literally smells like a dirty sock from me being drenched in sweat.

Maybe its a good thing it happened. Cause after that, regular wd is nothing. Going to complete my fmla paperwork and check out another place tomorrow.

Ill tell my story. I understand Ill open myself to criticism here but at this point I'm desperate to break out of this lifestlye. I feel some others on the board have been here as well, as I've searched similar scenarios on vital. And if nothing else.. hopefully this will detour someone on the same path.

Obviously, like most of you Im a moto head. My trouble came on labor day in 2014, I cased a triple and shattered my heel. Ive had plenty of other injueries in the past but this one was by far the most painful. I couldn't walk for months, and basically sat on my couch alone between trips of crawling to the bathroom. Ive had opiate painkillers before and knew i like the way they made me feel, but this time they got ahold of me good. The same brain that craved adrenaline seemed to like the buzz of pain killers even more. At first when i took them it felt like being handed the answer to all my probelms in life. Confident, outgoing, everything made sense and was interesting...

In the past 3 years its been long stretches of using with small periods of sobriety here and there but I've always fell back in my old ways and this last time, well it just feels inescapable.

And before you tell me I carved this path on my own, my suffering is at my own hand - trust me I know. This journey has taught me humility, if nothing else. I used to think of addicts as weak minded burnouts. I had zero sympathy for them. Now here I am.

As previously mentioned, I have had periods of abstinence. Usually with the help of subutex (whether thats "clean" or not is a debate in itself)... Now Im on such a run that I can't get thru the acute withdrawals. And Ive jumped back and forth from subs to opiates I find the subs have no effect.

I know everyones rock bottom is different, is this isnt my own I dont know what is. Ive lost everything but my job and my truck. Everyday is a scramble to find what I need simply to function. I know to an outsider this is laughable but to be in this predicament is terrifying. Everyday is like the movie groundhogs day. Go to work, get your fix, pass out full of guilt and shame. Repeat. As tolerance goes up so does the cost of just "staying ok" then your to the point where you have no $ at all times and no possensions worth anything.

I get it. Other people have problems, and they didnt choose them. But i cant continue down this path. Its maddening and destructive. I cant imagine what my family must feel.

The one thing I haven't tried is inpatient rehab. Im strongly pushed towards this by many in my life. The statistics dont look good for opiate addicts, and honeslty I'm terrified of going. Just looking if anyone has been or knew anyone that has. Thanks

Damn dude. You know what is tough about this, is that you seem to already have conquered the hardest part which is to surrender yourself to your addiction in knowing that you arent in control and NEVER will be. That is a really hard concept for addicts to accept. You seem to be there.

Unfortunately, there isnt much we can do from here on a forum because of the chemical withdrawls are so intense for the drug you're addicted too. You're chemically addicted to something you were already genetically predisposed to being easily addicted too. And it's a VERY strong drug.

Most addiction is a form of self medication by a person looking to cope with past traumas they havent still properly processed and moved on from. That doesnt sound like the case with you. But if it is, you're going to need years of therapy. Therapy is really tough if you do it right, but judging from the way you articulate things here, I think you'd do well with it.

You need to get professional help to get you through the physical addiction. First and foremost because it's dangerous to go cold turkey.

Lastly, please know that there are plenty of us out here that understand you are not weak. You're actually damn strong. Battling addiction is not for the weak. The constant failure and attempts to get back on your feet take incredible resiliency. You're stronger than you give yourself credit for. You're in for a long road but every day will get easier. Trust on that.

I dont mean to keep getting deeper and deeper into this and pissing and moaning to you all but I attribute the poor decision to become an addict as a result of taking Paxil. Ive spoke about this in another thread. As previously mentioned Ibe struggled with mental health from the age of 7 or so. When i was 20 I met the girl I told you about and me isolating myself about ran her off so I decided to see a doc about it and she gave me paxil.

After taking it, nothing was ever the same. Whatever it was inside of me that made me ME, it took away. Those of you who have been on SSRI may know the feeling. There are no highs or lows, its just an emotional flat line. I quit taking it after it wrecked my sex life as it made me stop producing testosterone naturally. I waited and waited for tbings to return to normal, they never did. Thats been about 6 years ago. Anti depressants take away the depression but take away every other feeling also. The post synaptic receptor is no longer receiving dopamine and serotonin and atrophys, in some cases (mine) things dont return to normal. Someone said this, and its the absolute truth - "you've only ever like 2 things in life. Dopamine and serotonin". I wont beat on about this. But i will say that we aren't so much as scratching the surface of having the human brain figured out and its far too delicate to be manipulated by modern medicine. Medication creates as many or more problems then it solves.
Damn. I didnt see this post before making my initial one.

They had good things to say about it as far as helping heroin addicts. The main problem seemed to be no one is interested in it as a product because they can't get a patent due it being natural. $$$

Yeah, and it is unregulated. No control or real idea what your getting, or how much, from one brand to the other. I think most are concerned with its abuse potential.

I got accepted to a local place and will be going there today at 5pm for inpatient.

Again, im not typically a "rehab" kinda guy but its the last thing to mark off my list before I say that Ive tried everything. Im nervous as hell to be honest. Im hoping being somewhere that I cant just get up and walk out of will allow me to change my mindset. Im gonna do whatever it takes in there, this has to work for me. The thing that bothers me tho is I have a head full of doubts already. But I assume nobody walks thru the door of a rehab knowing positively this will work

Like I've said, if you want this bad enough you'll do it. I'm glad you're going, updated us when you get out. And before you get to rehab, delete phone numbers of anyone that uses. Delete Facebook. You need sober friends.

Good for you. You may think being in rehab is a crock of shit the first week, and your brain will tell you that you don't really need this but, take my word how much better you'll feel once the fog lifts....it take's time. Colintrax hit the nail on the head with solid advice. Anyway, you got this, and best of luck.

Called and called but the # was disconnected. Finally found the right number on facebook, called it - rang a few times then sent to vmail. Sent a text saying i was eager to get into to program, and needed help and had some questions. Was told id hear back in a couple hours. Never heard back. Also send them a fb message with my #, it was read but not responded to.

Im not here to bash anyone but i think its hilarious how the guy who runs the program posts videos about how we need to call each other on our bullshit and taking accountability, when you literally have someone reaching out asking for help to be totally blown off like a nuisance.
Hey dude. My names Kevin Kolb. First, I wanna thank my buddy who’s on here a lot for letting me know this was posted. 2nd I need to apologize if I missed a call or made a mistake. That’s not me man, I try my hardest to get back to everyone. Some days that’s a full time job In itself and I’m grateful to be busy helping others. Here’s my cell. 484-219-5949. I have had an issue with returning emails on my website and we are working at fixing that. And to the dude he said I probably relapsed, NOT A CHANCE BRO....I’m a lifer on this side. Haha. Please send me a text tomorrow morning. Part of my problem is that living at a Track means I’m in the middle of nowhere, and that also means I have no service...so the only time I get calls and texts is if I’m inside the building with WiFi. I’m working on all this. No excuses...I’ll do my best to get to you as soon as I can. Thanks for setting me straight!
