Knuckle ... you have some personal issues with Chad? You come off as totally biased and just another Reed hater / Bubba worshipper.
When RC was spanking JS you were all over Stewart for riding over his head, making up excuses, crashing, landing on other riders, etc. Now that RC is gone, Stewart can suddenly do no wrong? And Reed can do no right ... even when he wins straight up?
Why don't you guys just let them race and appreciate each one's talents on the track. The "my guy is better than your guy" shite makes you guys all look like little children.
Anybody that rides or watches the sport appreciates Stewart's ability on a bike ... but it's that stupid-fock segment of his fans that won't STFU about how great he is that people are sick of.
Newsflash - JS doesn't need your help. His riding speaks for itself. All you're really doing is causing him minor grief on the internet.
I don't hate Reed or ANY rider, not even Lawrence (who I just pity). In fact, Reed used to be my son's favorite rider, and I have respect for the fact that Reed didn't get anything handed to him in this sport - he went out and worked hard for what he has. But Reed has never shown the heart to race with RC or James.
I really didn't like Stewart's childish "look at me" program early in his career, but he has never backed down from anyone. He probably took 5 years off his career trying to beat RC outdoors and never gave up. And from his first days in the 450 class, he left it all out on the track trying to beat the best - first RC and now Reed. Reed doesn't even try to out-race Stewart - his whole program is to hope Stewart hands it to him. You can call that strategy if you want, but it sounds a lot like a guy who won't take on the best rider and beat him. If you want to be a really good rider, that's a fine way to ride. If you want to be the best ever, then you have to at least beat the best of your time. So Reed is a really good rider and maybe even a great rider, but, on a comparative level, Reed has never been better than the second best rider in the sport in his own time. That's not hating, that's observing.
As far as poise goes, I think Vegas 07 was a very impressive ride for James. RC and Reed were bike lengths behind for 20 laps, yet James held it together on that skating rink. Very impressive.
Pit Row
Never once on this site have I attacked any rider, this is a motocross site and motocross has fans. Discussing the good and bad of your favorite teams/drives/riders/players is part of being a fan. I'm here as a fan. One of the replies said I'd never say it to his face. Why do I need to, and why would he care. I've been on these boards since 1995, same name, never had an alias. I'm not hard to find.
If I had to pick my current top 5 riders James would be one of them, I wish he was a little better racer and a little slower rider. I'd really like to see him get beat after a 20 lap battle and I'd really like to see him win after a 20 lap battle.
If I had to pick my favorite motocross fans, one of them would be my nephew who stood in line to get his favorite rider James Stewarts autograph @ San Francisco and sent me photos of it every step of the way even though I was only a few trucks over part of the time. But the bottom of the list would be dominated by James Stewart fans also. Many of them post on this board.
Let me give this one more shot for those who can't get it. Take these in comparison to the elites of the sport. I'm not comparing anyone to Joe Weekend at Goat Valley raceway.
RC=Became a great rider/Became the greatest racer ever.
Jeff Stanton=Always only a good rider, never great/But a seriously great racer.
James Stewart=Always been a great rider, maybe the best ever/Still only a good racer compared to his riding talent.
Meth? lol, I don't even drink.

This place truly has become ronron. Seriously
p.s. your little comparison about being a great rider vs a great racer is bullshit. The proof is in the pudding. The man is out there every weekend racing against the elite of our time. Ronnie renner is a great rider, nate adams is a great rider, james stewart is a great racer. dont get it twisted
Post a reply to: James Stewart is NOT a great racer.
