I'm just simply saying if it is a bunch of dead ends it would be a shame not to share such a cool part of Supercross and Carmichael's past. It was such an iconic picture at the time and a big step to see it on a billboard is all.
I agree. I don't want to cause any issues for anyone either. That's why I'm trying to go through the proper channels. Check your DM my man.

I think I have a copy of The US Open from Vegas of that year and I believe that is the cover photo. Easy Scan for sure but smaller.

I think I have the US Open Program of 1997 (The Vegas race) and I believe that is the photo they used for the cover, would be an easy scan.

For all of the petty ridiculousness I see on this board on a regular basis, stuff like this is what makes me live it on here. People who love moto helping each other out. Good luck on the print - sounds like you have some good options!

mxracer317 not trying to start anything here but he offered it to me first not cool. I figured ventpiece125 had helped you in this that is why I posted in an old thread. That said I want to help everyone here who is looking for this too. I have a commercial graphics company in one of the buildings, I look after & already spoke to the owner about scanning this and reproducing it. He did this with a picture of wolf for me to go over our fireplace. The one we had bough was just too small for the scale of the wall and fireplace. So they scanned then blew up to 6'x4' & printed onto canvas ( It turned out better then the original because of the software they use to enhance the image). They can scan and print it smaller or larger and put it onto various materials including canvas which looks great with black & white pictures. I was going to have this done have put on a hard board so I could preserve the original. Your US dollars will go further here in Canada so may a good way for you to. That said if you want I could & would also just share the graphics files he will create from the scan. Once again I want a solution for everyone here that has expressed interest in this myself included.

I think you guys were better off going offline with this. It can get tricky if this gets numbers and the wrong person finds out. Photogs arent douches or buttholes, they need to get paid for their work just like the rest of us do. Its not just the photog, but Oakley if they paid a settlement to him for ownership rights.

Carlo Bagalini (famous French photographer and friend of mine) shot this picture and sold the rights to Fox. Not sure how to find one today, must be a bit complicated i guess.

HOLY CRAP! What is all of this about Chris Hultner shooting MY photo!! Thats a bunch of BS!!!! I just sold one and the buyer alerted me to this. I have only sold a couple and Classictint, I am guessing you bought one from me. I am the photographer - David St. Onge. Someone with the March/April 1998 edition of Racer X look in the first few pages. There is a small article Davey Coombs wrote about the photo and me. I freakin STUNNED Racer X has been perpetuating this lie. They WILL be getting a phone call tomorrow. There is an extremely limited edition of this poster printed with the correct photo credit. The first pressing says Copyright Oakley. To my knowledge I am the only one with copies that have the correct copyright info that says "Photo: David St. Onge". Classictint please take a picture of the copyright info and post.
