have a few more sets ready to go if anyone wants some, and skid plates are in production stage still trying a few different designs
thinking about making it where the end user can grind the holes out if wanted, and have the oil drain for the 450/350/250 all in the mold, but just grind out which one your bike needs, and the grind out process can be provided before it ships or you could do it yourself
Just FYI, I would like a skid plate but would not be interested in holes that were not needed for my model.
When you say grind out, never really thought about it, but can carbon be drilled? I use step bits all the time for thinner metals, works great.
also the way it would work with the holes on the skidplate, would be basically cast into the mold, but still solid.. this would allow for the end user to grind or drill out the holes he/she would want.. the oil hole would be the same concept, as in a 450 would be towards the frame and the 250/350 and maybe 2 stroke would be more towards the centerline to match the drain plug.. but i believe that the 250/350 still has the oil screen like the 450 does so you would prob still need the side style 450 hole for the oil to drain... if that makes sense?
and a step bit works fine to drill the carbon, the way it would work is there would be a small hump on the engine side that you could grind down to make a circle or hole, and by grind i mean like the 2 inch cookies that you are normally used on a air grinder... i will get some pics to help explain as i am sure its confusing without seeing
By the way, thanks for the frame guards.
They are molded nice, and hold up better than the ktm grip tape i was using. I
Seem to wear those thru every 5 hrs. These still look new after some good use.
