What did Electrosil sting you for the plating and cylinder? I picked up a cylinder in pretty good shape, think it's still plated

Man , i really wish my kx 125 had been in this great of condition when i bought it ... if you have any decent cases for a 2000 i would be very interested in them.

well not to get off topic , but do you know anything I should be aware of or look out for before buying some on ebay... I have saw some as well.. I have heard that Its in my best interest to change both case halves because of mating surfaces and such ... any suggestions will be greatly appreciated ... good luck with the build ... wish I could afford to do this all to mine !!!

It's okay , dosent hurt to ask .. again thought awesome build and the quality is really showing man great job! talked to the misses and i may just be doing my 2000 now that i gotta strip it down anyways!

Hell yes mate, that thing already looks the tits. Your glass/media blasting has paid off.. looks amazing. Will be a great feeling when you crack the throttle open.

Should have it mostly together this week, after trying to put the motor together today it was evident i needed to replace some other bearings inside that didn't feel too great so they should be in Wednesday. Also got the new clutch basket changed over which was nice.

Also found out when i attempted to put the throttle on with a new tube that the body wasn't from this bike so had to order a new throttle body.

Then few nights later engine should be back in the bike! excited.

Still waiting on some Boyesen covers to show up this week and Vforce3 reed block. Good times ahead.

Cases are that good these days just change the one damaged i did on my rm.i just put a few bolts to hold them together empty and used a bright torch to see if i could see any light coming through the matting surface

Thanks Boys,

It's def. not an exact but just a remake. I kinda jumped the gun when buying it was one of the first things i bought. But only after doing much more research of the model it's clear it's not exact. Thinking of changing the kit up for the earlier model.

It kinda seems like the coating has worn off those areas, can someone enlighten me on what i'm looking at there? i have no experience with engines so this tear down is a first for me.

Clutch is roasted and check the oil from it... This parrot who had the bike before me just put a piston in it but left the the rest as is... jesus

More work it seems, may as well coat some parts while im there
