Heading into West Virginia now. Some more climbs coming and then the push to the finish. This has been epic.

Follow this link to learn a bit about the machines that David Bailey and Doug Henry are piloting. They got a lot of help from bicycle components manufacturer Shimano, whose marketing guy is Joe Lawwill, you know, the infant that Mert Lawwill is holding in "On Any Sunday."

The motocrossover runs deep!

I have spent some time in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I cannot imagine going over them on any type of bicycle . These guys are true Legends!

They go through the Appalachians, but yeah, hill repeats for almost 200 miles.

Hey Bigfoot...trying to watch Facebook live video for the first time....the only live video seems dead right now...is there a problem or will it come live when they start a live feed again?

Edit....ok, so it's working now...seems to come and go.

It's only on during a finish or an interview.

They've reached the official timing finish just outside of town and are being escorted to the ceremonial finish here on City Dock right now. Their LiveStream will be on any minute.

Yep, got to see them finish and the interview.

For easy to see that those guys are both physically and mentally drained.

RAAM finishers, and specifically this group, don't get enough notoriety for what they've accomplished.

Amazing!

Doug Henry (in blue T-shirt), one of the two members of the Legends of the Road 4-person team who rode hand-cycles, was on hand this morning to welcome Andre Kaijlich to the finish.

Kaijlich is the first solo hand-cyclist to attempt and complete RAAM. He hand-cranked himself 3,070 miles across the US in 12 Days, 16 Hours, 18 Minutes, 10.09 mph average.

I had the pleasure of meeting and riding with Jeff yesterday. He is as cool as one can be and ever after riding across the entire nation, he showed up three days later to join the memorial ride for Nicky Hayden. Not only showed up but was right with the front pack for the 69 mile ride. Dude is a beast!
