RIP moto brothers.
These guys live for this. They know the risk and are willing to take. I have heard so many interviews with riders saying - "If i die, atleast i die doing what i love."
If you held a race were people died every year would you keep doing it?
This shit makes me so angry.
RIP Boys
Pit Row
Most other forms of Motorsport have gotten safer over the years with safer walls, air fences, etc , the Isle of Man is just as trecherous as it has always been.
He has two young girls when he died, but he met his wife oon the island and it was a big part of who he was
I don't think I could Rae there , too dangerous but I respect the people that do, they know the risks
To me, the guys that race this race at a high level, are the undisputed gnarliest men on earth. I once tried watching a GoPro of Guy Martin in my Virtual Reality set up and I couldn't do it.
This is a chart of Isle of Man TT deaths per year from a recent New York Times article
Awesome event, over subscribed every year.
This isnt just one person responsible for the event. Its the whole damn island and everyone that lives there.
People race Isle of man and there are "guided tours" climbing K2. People do crazy shit and they are well aware of the risks.
I think you should look on the documentarys availabe about isle of man and you will get more insight how these riders think.
You'd also have to ban all road racing during the season in Northern Ireland as well, because people don't just die at the TT racing bikes.
In my opinon, it is not up to you to tell others what they can and can't do with their lives as long as they don't hurt anyone else.
Remember there are people that would call for MX to be banned because it's dangerous, and that's with kids taking part.
Check out TT3D, great documentary about the event
RIP to the riders fallen
These are MEN living life - and sometimes losing it. Like someone above stated, the edge is where they feel most alive. As sad as it is, they know the risks.
What would you have men like this do? Take some pills to make that desire go away?
This shit makes me so angry.
Ban climbing too.
