Alot of people with real world knowledge who might actually know things get clicked off of here all the time. When you have 50 idiots who have never done it, never seen it, or ever bought it, or ever used it, the one guy that has, is the guy that gets clicked, Because everyone thinks he's a troll or know it all.

That's why most people who really know things don't come on here. And that's a shame.

I'm talking about people who actually know their shit from real world knowledge. Much like yourself having worked with Enzo.

That guy doesn't have a clue as to how any suspension works as I posted I think on page 2.

This place would 100% click someone like JT or Ross Maeda or even Craig Deckers old man (You know who Im talking about) if they posted info way over most peoples heads under an alias account.

Not because they aren't right and 100% on point, not because they have seen it, used it, touched it, and worked on it, but because far out is just far ahead and that kind of knowledge to forum idiots seems like a troll.

And thus this place would click them in an instant. And down the road, it would all be 100 proven as true.

I remember reading about Elon Musk posting under an alias on a forum about his Electric car plans to see what kind of reaction he'd get.

He was attacked as a stupid troll. Oooops.

Mechanics, riders and industry folk have alias accounts on here, we leave them be...me and GuyB know who they are, we have no reason to click them.

Ross actually does have an alias account, he answered a very technical question and was attacked by people who didn't know what they were referencing. He still posts from time-to-time.

Btw, Craig's dad is Wil.

What if those guys you mentioned just came here-with full disclosure of who they are-would they still be considered a troll?

I don't get why industry people feel like they have to be anonymous when they post here?

Watching that footage makes me wish Dirt Wurks would make more tracks with that open feeling. Looks like plenty of room to move around and wide turns too.

Sorry about going a little off topic here.

I don't think I have an alias. How would one go about doing that.Wink I think I'd like to get one.

Oh, and no one wants to click me, cause, well, I'm THAT awesome. And I have some gray hair so nobody would want to make me cry or anything.Laughing Laughing

Yes. I remember when he was working construction in Palm Desert. I don't think he was doing anything with Enzo yet then.

In fact, the last time I saw him, was the same exact day Mickey Thompson was gunned down. Maybe an hour or two after that I was with a slew of top pros at the time and we were all like NO F'ING WAY when it came over the radio.
Seems like yesterday because I remember what we all did, and went and what we were driving.

They wouldn't be able to talk about things coming down the pike.

JT isnt going to tell anyone shit about what they have for 2018, 2019 or 2020.
He isn't even going to tell anyone what one off gear a racer may wear for the last round of SX.

Maybe a few he trusts like Matthes or some others who can keep their mouths shut, but definitely not here.

Beware of "clippy, clippy". If you say something and the "Powerful Vitards" (we all know who they are) do not agree with your opinion they will just click you away. As they are always right, end of report. Be careful while typing out there if you enjoy coming here. Remember the motorcycle industry likes to come on here for a good laugh. Also if you are always on this forum you probably are not riding at all or very little. Riding is always more fun than typing any day.

Exactly. And that is a shame. I can imagine him telling people how to change shock shims and stuff, maybe some tips and tricks only he uses, and he'd get blasted as wrong, a dumbass, he has no idea what he's talking about , probably doesn't know how to even start a bike, let alone know how to work on a shock etc etc etc.

And if you guys didn't know who he really was posting that info, and that he might actually know what he's talking about, the 50 bashing him would get him clicked, because to them, he's a troll and 50 idiots would complain and get him clicked.

He's not, he's just far more educated with real world knowledge that is far over these real trolls heads.
And he could probably rebuild a shock blindfolded. But nobody would really know that.

There's a sharp difference between a full-on troll and someone posting under an alias who gets attacked...it's what they post. I didn't know it was Ross' account when he posted (he told me later) but the info he posted was spot on.

ML you should go jump on a huge computer board like OCN. They have about 100,000 members...and they keep the place pretty dang clean.

Hard to clean up this place when 3 out of 4 of you are too busy doing other things. I feel like I've speaking to the wind here...

This place is getting to be a joke. Moto Related has basically become the place where you just rip the f@#$k out of whichever rider you don't like, Reed, Barcia, Friese, Noren... Sometimes I just shake my head and close the browser.

IMO, lots of people on here should be clicked when they start dog piling and attacking family, and stuff like that but it gets the "Look the other way"

It's what keeps alot of lurkers away because it is VERY often.

But if you post XXX rider sucked ass last night, 50 thin skinned fan boys will complain and you get the axe, even if the rider says it himself.

That's a good thing. The OCN site I mentioned...if you open a big thread , you'll notice how many mods and staff members there are. There are a lot of them. And one of the main jobs they have are deleting troll accounts. Most all of them are volunteers.

And mind you...the computer forums are full of teenage gamers. The stuff they have going on over there is 100 X more then what goes on here. The good people stay while the trolls keep getting flushed.

If this place is to stay relevant and grow...you need more mods. That is a simple fact.

I agree man! Honestly I think we only have a few bad eggs here. If we truly have 10,000 members , I bet only 10 or so would be labeled an actual troll. They keep coming back with a different user name , but they are pretty easy to spot. If a guy has been here less than a week and starts attacking people or causing shit , you know damn well it's someone who just recently got clicked.....click him again , no questions asked. People who disagree with this , are usually trolls themselves. Long time members can lose their cool sometimes , but that isn't the same thing ( I know because I've been a hot head on occasions myself ). 99% I'm here to bench race , hook up on riding days , read info and advice on bike builds , ect....

There are ways to make this place a lot more friendly , and it's too much for just 4 mods. And you , Steve , Scottie and GD2....there is no way for you to keep up with what's going on here. What you experienced last night with that guy trolling you.....well , welcome to our world ( the other 99% of the guys and gals on here ) that get it all the time.

This place is getting to be a joke. Moto Related has basically become the place where you just rip the f@#$k out of whichever rider you don't like, Reed, Barcia, Friese, Noren... Sometimes I just shake my head and close the browser.
It really is and I seriously do the same thing. It's unfortunate to realize.
yup, and the attacks against fellow Vitards gets out of hand as well as the attacks on the riders themselves....I would offer to help admin but I have a chequered past for making dumb comments lol so I wont get no respect being an admin lol

I would like to add one thing. This forum layout is by far the best that I've ever seen. Easy to find what interests you in one glance per page. Very easy to use and attach media etc... Reddit for example is not even close. But yes, thanks for that. I just wanted to mention it.
