Well, since Dungey only wins Championships when the better rider is down and out with injury or bike problems, you're probably correct!

I was at Loretta's the year Billy Fosnock won. He was on a brand new YZ 250 right off the showroom floor and after the first moto win team green wanted to inspect it. Every one in the stands were asking "who is this Billy Fondcock guy?" He did ride great that week but struggled in SX the next season and faded away.

Bike problems are one thing. Injuries are another. You could say dungey is the better rider because he doesnt get injured and wins championships. So the better riders you speak of are not really better.
