Glad they went with that dealership. I was in another shop and overheard the sales guy feeding them absolute crap.

How are we supposed to know who's fastest if they all run the same number?

Does your car have a manual back up? Or your riding mower?

Fingers crossed we get a video soon of one of these cops cruising with some wheelie boyz, hitting 12 o clock, then promptly arresting all of em Tongue Laughing

Unless I'm mistaken that looks like the store front of Straight Line Racing. If so I'm also glad to see they got the business. I've bought two bikes from them, the first used and second time a new one. After my second trip over I probably won't go to another dealership and it's a 6 hour trek from Mississippi for me. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Also this dealership is 100 percent behind the brand with a power parts and accessories inventory I've never seen. Check them out if your close and never been. It's a small shop but they have plenty of stuff.

I suspect there might be an opening at the FWPD for a full time mechanic to keep these 4 strokes in top running order. The hours will mount on these at a far faster pace than us weekend riders. Trying to handle that thru the dealership might prove to be problematic and costly. I suppose it might depend on the rotation of the bikes "in service". In other words, are all 8 out at the same time or do they overlap and such. Would be interesting to know.

Was it by chance Freedom Powersports that was feeding them crap? Because there is one right by my house and they are a complete joke if you're not there to spend $50,000 on one of their offroad vehicles, jet skis or boats. I've been there twice for parts, they've taken my name and number and said they would call when the parts were delivered. Never got that call either time. I'm not even beating them up on price. Just wanted the crap delivered. I won't be doing business there ever again.

I'm making a lot of assumptions here, but it is probably something they'll use on weekends more. The places they've mentioned that will be monitored are mostly weekend spots but I could see random monitoring during the week.

Gateway park is a mountain bike park but it's in a shady part of town. It's a higher drug area and at one point there was a gay prostitution ring that was running mountain bikers out of there. I could see them monitoring that area a bit more regularly.

The distance around Marine Creek lake is 6 miles and it's pretty clean. There are a few areas on Eagle Mountain I could see them patrolling but it's mostly busy on weekends and dead during the week. Lake Worth has a park called Sansom Park. It's in a lower income area and it's a bit sketchy at times.

The Trinity River stretches about 16 miles of what I would think they are going to patrol.
