RC is the GOAT because he was dominant indoors and out. And if RC had stayed in the sport as long as McGrath he would have had more SX wins and titles too. Top 3 all time IMO are RC, RV, and MC in that order.
I agree with everything in this statement. Including the RC, RV, MC order. RC gets the goat title over MC because RC was dominant indoors AND out.

RC 250sx 1999-2003 (04 was injured) then 2005-2007 were years he won at least one race.

9 years for MC. And you can say one was a waste because he his last win was in 01 and his only that season.

8 years for RC that's deducting his one year for injury.

So that's means Ricky would have needed to win out two full seasons to be even close to MC. And MC dominated seasons way more than anyone ever has.

That's great and all, but you see RC had to race against this young gun people called Bubba 2005-2007. And lets not forget Chad Reed. I've watched most of MC's career and he didn't have to start "racing" until RC showed up. Oh and how many outdoor wins/titles does MC have?
Don't really want to get into the whole 'he's better' no 'he's better' shit, but for me RC hands down. Both were awesome riders, who changed things about mx/sx. Not 1 fuck was given by RC, the win was all that mattered so in my eyes he takes it. Big respect to both though, and all the people they beat who, I'm sure, we're trying 110% not to lose.

25 more sx wins are left.

British film called Four Lions, brilliant piss take of home grown jihadis, I recommend it.

I always wonder what some guy who has no idea about the sport thinks when they say a rider trains at the Goat Farm

I remember a quote from Jeremy saying that he made more money from his Suzuki win bonuses in 97 than he did in 96 in his near perfect sx season. So you could say that he elevated the sport a little bit. Mc was a show man who sold a lot of sx tickets. RC was just an animal who only knew how to win.

You're a fucking toolbag. RC, overall better rider and racer. Straight up came in and took McGrath down. McGrath has supercross wins and very few outdoor wins compared to RC. No disrespect to mc he was my hero growing up. But RC is the goat and a better rider. Plain and simple. Now go out to the garage and get your POS ready to go rip the vet track tomorrow you dumbass.

When you have 150 what's 25 more? MC fans always want to separate SX and MX stats. Wasn't really like that before and sans Stewart and Reed for a couple seasons hasn't been like that since... thank god. I stand by my assessment because RC was so godly indoors and out he racked up 8 titles MCs career totals when he was only 22 and passed 100 wins at 24.

While I tend to agree that if RC were to keep going, he would have passed Jeremy's SX win total...he didn't. He retired early. You say "what's 25 more?" But it's just that - it's 25 more. 25. That's damn near two more seasons worth of wins at a blistering win pace with everything going smoothly. Let's not forget that RC had a tendency to ride on the ragged edge and has had his fair share of tumbles in supercross. And to keep up the training regimen that so many credit his success to, is no small task either. There's a reason these guys that work that hard don't ride until they are mid 30's. So while it's easy to just assume he would have kept up the same pace, it's far from a given.

A little off topic but I believe that goat is either photoshopped in or is constipated. I've had a few goats in the past and they were continuously pooping. Like a popcorn machine! I would have never been able to take a picture of one without poop all over the ground. I had two who figured out how to get through an electric fence and when I got home in the evenings they would be eating the bushes and flowers behind my house and the circle drive in back would be covered in poop balls. After a couple of weeks of that, I decided it was time for the goats to go!

Okay, back to your regularly scheduled Vital arguement...

Love British humour, thanks for the tip. One of my faves is Brassed Off: the scene where the guy is in front of the class of school kids, going off. Almost crying during that, laughing so hard.

When I say 25 more I mean for both, that's the problem I have all this MC SX only stuff. RC was on a different wave length he won 12 straight titles entrerd vs 3 for MC. 25 more would have been tough SX only but matching his 7 titles with all things being the same he could have done in 09 and he would have been 29 then. Of course it's all guessing but the sample size RC gave us plus the competition he faced that never beat him for a title is enough for me to call him the goat indoors and out. I disagree about RC riding the ragged edge, in SX from 01 on he was the most consistent SX rider of all time by quite the margin. He had more moments then MC did but he gets blown out of propertion IMO.

RC is the GOAT
MC is the KING
RJ is the Bad Boy or Too Hip
Hannah is The Hurricane or Buckwheat

Best ever is subjective and up for debate. Hard to debate against RC due to his ability to stay relatively injury free. How good would of RJ been without broken wrist? RV without compound leg fracture? Stew without his injuries?

I am so sick of hearing Ralph call RC the GOAT during supercross broadcasts. McGrath will always be the GOAT of Supercross. It's this simple; MC: 72 Supercross wins. RC: 48 Supercross wins. Outdoors, sure let RC have that. But no way is RC even close to the GOAT of Supercross. From January- May, MC is the GOAT. I was watching the race with my friend who doesn't know much about the sport, and he heard the GOAT RC bullshit, and said, "Wait doesn't MC have way more wins? How the fuck is Carmichael the GOAT?" I said, "Because people are idiots and don't understand simple math." Shut up RC fans.
I think you answered your own question. Ralph called RC the GOAT which he is known as. He didn't say GOAT of Supercross. That designation is known as the KING. Different guy. We can have them both.
