I currently have a Thor sentinel chest protector but it doesn't fit very well with my atlas brace when I have it under my jersey. Anybody has some solid recommendation of an under-the-jersey chest protector that fits well with a neck brace? Definitely dont want a rockgarden as I have one and have worn it maybe twice since I bought it two years ago.

I can confirm that the Leatt 5.5 DOES work fine under your jersey WITH a Leatt neck brace. This is what I ride/race with

Nice...can you still use the cheast protector straps to hold the brace in place?Thats how I am doing it with my Leatt chest protector and its very convenient. The brace doesn't move at all.

I believe the new Alpinestars A-10 and Leatt 5.5 HD are the best choices for under jersey protectors right now. Both have front and back panels CE certified for level 2 impact protection and soulder protectors level 1 certified. I can't decide which one to get, but I'm leaning towards A10 as it seems to provide better ventilation with similar protection.

I am not sure about compatibility with Atlas Air brace though, did anyone try either of those chest protectors with one?

I have the Leatt and it is HOT!!! Especially so if you wear it under a jersey. I started using it when I play hockey, and it's even hot in that application. They really need to figure out the ventilation, because in protection and construction it is a nice piece.

Has anyone tried the Leatt Fusion 3.0 ??
I was considering this for the complete package including the neck brace

Thank you for the input, A10 is a no brainer then it seems.

i use the fusion 3.0. It is a solid unit. (i wouldn't wear it under jersey though)

i got it after breaking my collarbone twice in 3 months. it isn't as bulky or hot as you might think - the shoulders are the only thing i notice when riding. i would take them off if it wasn't for my weak shoulders.

the 5.5 didn't fit me that well as i am between the medium and large - the fusion comes in a medium (and i needed a new neck brace)

The TLD 5900 protector is really good, you can barely tell it is underneath, it is really comfortable and it has the plastic protection to protect you from impacts!

This is what i run at the moment. Alpinestars a-1. Lightweight, fits tight over the body so it stays in place and doesn't move around and the ventilation is great! And it retails for around 100 bucks.

Can you wear this under your jersey?

Seems the neck brace and shoulders clip together and the neck is too wide

Thanks man, they look pretty much the same so I guess.... should be fine :-)I'm really comfortable with my Leatt neck brace and armor , but the Atlas neck brace technology got me convinced to try it....but definitely I don't like their protector ,specially the back part ...... in order to wear it under your jersey you have to remove pretty much half of it.

Has anyone tried the Alpinestars A-10 under a jersey? Does it work well or is it too bulky?

I'm not sure about that one specifically, but Alias has one that's very, very similar and is on sale for about $17 right now.

it might be difficult to get the shirt on. the shoulder cups sit quite high too - removable though.

ill have a go at putting a shirt over and let you know how it goes. will be on the weekend as i don't keep my gear at home.

Last week I saw a picture of DARIAN SANAYEI from Mexico with A1 under his jersey with atlas brace. So I guess it should work. You can try to google the pics.

I am really not seeing how you wear the chest protector under your jersey with a Atlas or Leatt brace?

The brace is designed to sit/touch or make direct contact with your chest and back correct? If the chest protector is under the jersey do you tuck the Brace into the neck hole on the jersey? I just can't imagine how this would ever work?

I run the Atlas, it fits well. I was wearing the seven zero stuff and it fit a little awkward over it so I switched to a looser jersey and now its fine.
