How's the fit on the seven gear?
I know it's marketed as athletic fit, but wondering how the sizing relates to the marked size.
Are the legs roomy enough for knee braces, or is it a squeeze. Same with the jersey, is there adequate room for chest and elbow protection under there?
Thanks

Personally, and it's just my personal opinion, I HATE the gear that Seven and Thor (and now Shift) are making with the tight sleeves and what looks like a hi-vis vest over the top. They look like a road worker or construction worker! That gear that Top Jimmy wore in the main looked like he was wearing a race bib and made him look like he should have been racing at Loretta Lynn's Unsure

I like my seven gear fitment is great.there's plenty of room in knees for brace and the shirt would kinda remind you of the regular under armour shirts but not as tight is chest area

I'd say the jerseys were an "athletic fit." I'm usually somewhere between a medium and large, and the Seven large jersey fit perfect. In fact, it was probably the best fitting jersey I've ever worn. Surprisingly though, the pants fit REALLY big. I'm usually a 34 in Fox, Shift, and Thor and my 34 Seven pants were too big even when I cinched them as tight as they'd go. If I bought Seven again, I'd probably go down a size in the pants.

For reference, I had the 2015 Seven Zero Black/Orange Camo.

Fits me like a glove. I'm 6'0 220 lbs, so not a small guy by any means. Plenty of room for Asterisk braces, and the stuff is the lightest, best breathing, mostly comfy gear I've worn in my 20 years of riding.

Are people able to wear protection under the jersey, chest and elbow?
I'm thinking it could look a bit silly if the fit is tight.

Yes, I am. I purchased two Seven jerseys over the holidays for this season. I wear Alpinestars body armor underneath my jersey, which includes built in elbow padding, back and chest protection, and it fits over them perfectly. I'm 6'3 190 lbs, so I normally would wear an XL, but I decided to buy XXL in both jerseys simply due to the fact that the fit is naturally tighter and not baggy. Knowing the material ahead of time, the XXL size works great for me. It fits so slim that there is no excess hanging in the front or back, and the material is stretchy over the protection, meaning it doesn't seem to have as much tension on it as it does in my Fox jerseys. It doesn't look silly or overly tight in my opinion, and honestly, it makes it appear that I'm not wearing body armor at all. I was worried about it too, but the best bet is to order one size bigger than usual, and it should fit just fine over the protection.

I think the pants are 1 of if not the most comfy pair of mx pants ive owned ,im not sure on the tight jerseys though LOL as I get older though and less time to work out the tight jersey thing might not be the greatestest idea.

I wear the Thor stuff but I have no problem fitting my astars under jersey protector that has chest, back, and shoulder armor. I zip off the elbow protection most of the time because I'm an idiot but it fits as well.

Nice! I ordered a 2015 Seven set in 32/L and I normally wear shift. Good to hear that seven pants are a little big because with shift I'm right between 32 and 34. I was a little worried about the seven sizes when I ordered.

Good post. I'm thinking about some seven zero stuff too, but sizing is definitely a question. I'm a lousy size for moto- 6'3" and 180-185lbs. Tall and skinny- hard to set up a bike and find gear that fits. Been using Thor Flux stuff, and rock 34 pants but their jerseys in large have wayyy to short sleeves, so I'm forced to go to xl where the chest and back are huge.

Helps when I read what other folks here are using. I appreciate it! Been spending too much money elsewhere, so my seven purchase is on the back burner for a bit.

I've just ordered pants and a couple of jerseys.
I ordered pants in my regular size, and one size up on the jerseys.

So how did you go? Got any pics?

Anyone else got any pics of them wearing under armour with the new seven zero gear?

I wear the alpinestars a8 armour and am a bit unsure if the seven zero stuff will look silly on me or not.

I owned the old seven zero stuff when the jersey was one piece. My armour fitted fine underneath that.

Yeah I looked at some seven stuff recently. I'm glad the prices went down from what it was also. I may try a set this year.

I'm 6.3 185 ish and went with zero 34, large jerseys, and XL gloves and it's all good except the pants run a tad big. Haven't rode in them yet, but test fit was good and light stuff

You can get the 2016 sets for 150$ and under on BTO. Not the compression stuff though
