So the entry list is now at 41. Somebody withdrew today, and with Roczen included in the 41, it looks like there will be exactly forty guys attempting to qualify for the nite show. Unless there is a last minute entry, Ronnie is going to get a chance to race. Best of luck to him.

Not related directly to the thread but does anyone know what the souvenir program is for Toronto and where to go for the autograph session?

flagged out of the group B practice and thus not eligible to race in the night show if he rides like he has been.
Who did he cause to get hurt I must of missed it somewhere?

Should be interesting come heat race time what they decide to do with him.

Now the question becomes, if he does make the night show, does he call it quits?

On the provisional entry list John Short is signed up for the 250 class, but on the PDF list from the results page, he's entered in the 450 class, which would mean 41 riders for the 450 class. Why wouldn't one of the 250 privateers want to take home a paycheck from the 450 class, if they are guaranteed to make the nite show? I was wondering if something like this might happen.

Mixed feelings on this one. I applaud his efforts but couldn't he get his act together before bouncing around and seemingly learning on the fly? I do hope he can vastly improve as it would be even a better story and not what it is today.

This also has probably been posted before but I just read it and the TWMX article listed somewhere in this thread. It explains his history and reasons, etc.... http://racerxonline.com/2017/03/04/privateer-profile-ronnie-ford

Good luck and don't get hurt or hurt anyone else in the process please.

One one hand, I appreciate his commitment to racing the series, living out the dream for the rest of us kinda thing...... but on the other, it also seems selfish to be that far off the pace and then purposely handicapping yourself even more with the 2T just for the sake of someone else footing the bill for it all.

I think he's mentally ill myself. He's out there making sure he's out of people's way. How is that any kind of racing? Lappers I understand in the main show. Sounds like he's really fast outdoors though.

Would he be able to run his bike with a 300 kit legally? Is it a 450cc class or

The entry list is now at 40. Both Roczen and Short have been removed, and once again it appears that Ronnie will race. I haven't done the math or anything, but based on the timing from previous weeks, Ronnie will probably be getting lapped every three of four circuits. That would equate to getting lapped twice in a heat or semi, and once in the LCQ. He'll probably get some decent TV time for his sponsors.

Maybe if he qualifies he goes out and puts in a lap in the heat and semi then pulls off, maybe takes the checkers in the lcq.

That would be a smart move , imagine if a top factory rider would accidentally land on him cause he going so slow. Honestly the AMA should really watch his times and if he is to far off they should Black Flag him for the night show.

How can they black flag him now? They've been taking his entry money every week, and he hasn't caused any problems. Now that he gets a chance to line up, they shouldn't pull the rug out from under him.

That would equate to the top guys making three laps to Ronnie's two.

So do they yank his license, or does he come back next week to try again?

to put in perspective, he is only 10 seconds faster than the first place KJSC qualifier is running a 1:39.

If, in fact, he has been pulled, why now? Why not a1? Why did they let him blow all that money and effort?

I posted a similar response but edited it after thinking they probably warned him that even if he ever made the show, he wouldn't be able to line up unless his time was acceptable for that event. I'm sure he wouldn't have been deterred by such a warning anyway.

I think they did have a discussion between Ronnie and The AMA officials. But he pulled off on his own during the second practice.
