And when it's dry season you'll complain it's way too hot. It's motocross, not tabletennis. Mud is a part of the sport.

the track does like awful. I saw a few photos earlier, the jumps were covered over with plastic, however the rest of the tracks looks like a swamp. Be good to get this one out of the way and crack on with some decent tracks.

I agree. You gotta have one or two mudders in a season. It tests the riders skills and makes what would otherwise be another boring man made track much more entertaining. I really wasn't looking forward to Indonesia by now I can't wait.

agreed but that was a do or die Herlings and 100% healthy, maybe now when he cant really push very hard it might help him out a little that the pace is a little slower and i can imagine that the 450 will pull him true the mud a lot easier than teh 250 did

less jumping, slower racing etc. should be a advantage if you race with a broken hand.

Brazil 2012 Herlings really struggled in the mud. Searle even had time to pull in to pit lane for fresh gloves and still won. Wish he was riding this weekend.

True, but just a simple slit out in the mud and it's done..

How's that? They want (and earn) more attention and a genuine World Championship. So they must be able to master every condition, even if it's a flooded track. If they want to be treated equal, they must race under every condition that they get during the weekend. Just a logical thing. It's true that their budgets are a lot smaller, but nodody twists their arms to force them to go to Indonesia. If you can't afford to make the trip, you probably won't become champion. Harsh, but fair.

This a fair point, but I'd have been happier with dry conditions. This is the first time we'll see the circuit -- and I'm suspicious about these purpose-built tracks to begin with -- and I dunno if we're going to be able to learn much from this event.

And these kinda weekends are horrible for spectators.

Indeed. Not only because of himself but this kind of races always have big surprises. How big is the chance that cairoli can go 1-1 . Or Gajser. There's a big chance in kinda mud gp that they are losing points

Cairoli went DNF on mudder GP in Sweden after he parked moto in mud and didn't have skill or strength to get it out... If rain hits hard while they racing... It will be more survive than race time..
Mud and rain... I take heat anyday.

How would they get around the tear off ban?

there is no such thing as a tear off ban for a GP.
