I guess they are getting hit hard from our economy. Huge layoffs, the Chinese government has established a plan of action to deal with the out of work new generation. To many this is old news. To us in America, we are just starting to see this wave ripple out.

So how's this relate to moto?
What will become of the Pit Bike knock off market? How will it effect the other Moto Markets. Cheap boots, Helmets and Grips?
China was one of the USA's largest competitor of refined oil increasing the cost of gas. Moreover it reminds me of the Chinese marketing terrorists that were saying America was going to fall to China. All your bases belong to us etc.

Tiki, another thing that happened to the China Manufactors was the Chinese Government quit subsidizing them so the prices rocketed by 25% then shipping container costs almost doubled in 6 months. The company I work for have decided to start making go-karts back here because of the high prices overseas.

Good. American Made. Where Go-Karts should be made. And maybe England and Italy.

Never bought bikes, parts, or gear made in china. They are nothing more than economic parasites. Hope the worst for them.

Actually the rise in gas prices was due to speculation on the commodities market and had very little to do with actual supply and demand. We saw some of the biggest spikes in gas prices during times when supply was up but demand was dropping. That's why when the market went bust so did the gas prices. You don't think that gas consumption world wide suddenly dropped by over 50 %.

Who really cares? Them bastards have stole enough jobs from America with their cheap generic junk made by workers that make 15 cents an hour no matter what age they are. That country is a humanitarian joke.
Way to go america keep shipping that shit over here by the boat full. We need to keep walmarts shelves full.
Their biggest problem is getting them to use birth control.
There is only what? A BILLION of them?
If they aint workin in a sweat shops their screwing.......

I 'd heard that in the Schezwuan region that #14 doesn't automatically come with fried rice anymore, often times you must adjudicate the process.

You must be specific on requesting steamed rice.

I hate to say it but you have hit the nail right on the head....

Everybody wants to know why our economy is in the toilet and there are no manufactiring jobs, why does everything go to China......

Cheap begets cheap.
American companies have been shipping jobs overseas because they have no incentive to keep them here.

Our own government has been helping to fuck us over by making it more attractive for corporations to do business elsewhere,

Don't feel like paying a liveable wage to your workers?
Ship the jobs to Mexico, Puerto Rico or the Phillipines then you can pay your workers pennies an hour and not pay any import tariffs.

Tired of having to provide health insurance?
No problem ship the work to Indonesia and when one of your "cattle" drops dead you just get another one.

Meanwhile those Wal Mart shelves stay full and the fat dumb and happy masses just keep chewing their cuds.

We did this to ourselves, now the question is can we undo it.
Maybe the higher cost to do business overseas will actually motivate some folks to keep the jobs here.

You're right, but there is a slightly different way that bears looking at.

Don't feel like paying a liveable wage to your workers? = Can't afford to pay obscene workman's comp rates, get screwed by unions, pay SSI, Federal/State/Local taxes, comply with unbelievable eco rules, stunning health insurance premiums and pay your workers a liveable wage?
Ship the jobs to....

No argument there.

Unless you are big enough to line the pockets of somebody connected it is a screw job.

Not to mention that if you do all of those things that you mentioned it is almost impossible to make it because you are undercut by cheaper product and no retailer will touch you.

Sorry to get all preachy, if you are in business and employing folks more power to you.
