I would like to hear it to. Maybe the op can post it on ThumperTalk? Anything goes there lol, that's why I deleted the app!
TT is legit lol

As a forum owner, on a much smaller scale, the DELETE button is a double edged sword... When I bought my site from the previous owner it was going down, it had the reputation of things magically disappearing to financially benefit vendors or hurt others. I put a stop to it... We have a posted set of rules and as long as the posts fall within those rules it stays. There are oddities that you have to address from time to time. Each site is different, at least ones with any size to them....

This site is a monster, so many things to remember before trashing these guys. Being admin on a message board is far from easy. I get threats all the time of what will happen to me if a thread isn't removed, I can't imagine the level of crap the guys here get. You also get plenty of "legal notices," usually trolls but some are real. They can't please everyone, never will.

If you don't like they way they manage their board, there is a log off button. No one is forcing you to come here. These guys provide you with a free service, just because they don't do what you think is right all the time doesn't make them bag guys, nut huggers, or stooges getting paid off. They are doing what they think is best for their business. It is real simple to start your on forum if you think you can do it better....

Bottom line, give these guys a break until you walk in their shoes. I'd still like to read the article but can't find it, not gonna bitch out Vital because of it though.....

Good interview.

I agree with what Cole says about the promoter.

Not sure how that could be taken out of context.

It would appear that his team didn't back him and now he has to walk back his comments.

I guess he has the answer to his question. Don't get out of line with Feld.

Well believe it or not Supercross Entry this year is $200 , I was thinking it was 250 last year. I know Outdoors is $250.

I use Thumper Talk for technical questions and discussions. Seems to be fewer hard asses over there. Honestly, I feel like people cant ask questions here without some kind of backlash, etc.

But no gossip, rumors, etc over at TT. So that stuff keeps bringing me back here.

I'm glad to hear it from his side of the fence. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I participated in the Legends and Heroes show several years and was always treated like I was a pain in their ass. Even before the Legends and Heroes existed, I brought a small fleet of bikes and parked them between the RacerX and Scott goggles booths. I didn't show up with dirty old broken down junk either, always brought the good stuff and put in a major effort to make their show and their fan experience better. Everybody loved the old bikes. I asked for nothing free and offered to pay for pit passes and whatever was required on my end to be a participant in the pit show. Even after renting suites for several years, they always made it impossible to get proper credentials to get in and out of the pits. A couple times they told me I needed to have bikes in the stadium and on the podium throughout the day for the Legend's presentation yet they wouldn't get me credentials to get in the stadium. Just f'n bizarre. Sneaking the family in and out of the pits while I have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of garage coach and bikes sitting in the pits...they need to be called out on it by someone who they'll actually pay attention to. The last couple years of the Houston SX, did I participate? No.

I'm on the logical side with all this. But you aren't wrong. I'd say that is exactly what happened.

Michael probably got told what they wanted him to hear. All he can go off is what he is told. He had to make a choice.

What place does a guy have to finish just to get his entry fee money back?

What place does the Fim/AMA guy have to finish to get his entry fee money back?

What place does a photographer/journalist have to finish to get his entry fee back?

What place does a. Monster girl have to finish to get her entry fee back?.....

Again, it's just a guess but, I'm thinking Feld spends more on pyro than the winner of the 250 main makes. The more I think about it, the smarter Pastrana looks. If you're gonna risk your life riding bikes, be the guy making money. Feld supposedly is shutting down the circus. I guess they figured out they can make more money if the lion tamers actually get mauled and, they don't have to keep feeding the lions.

I'll take the opinion of siding with the interviewer here.I actually took the little amount of time needed to look him up and get some info from him on how it went down.

Nope.. I wasn't there.. but if ya'll are comfy siding with the agent (who wasn't there), I feel more comfy siding with the one who actually asked the questions and wrote down/recorded the answers.

I doubt that'll happen, so it's sort of a moot point.

The pyro budget has been redirected. Expect a lot more flames and a lot less pyro.

Personally, I like it because it'll be about 100% less smoke in the domes during the heat races.

Cole's point about the payout really hits home when you think about that picture of Ken's arm and his multiple surgeries.

Ken makes good money but if that happened to anyone not in the top 5 and they are ruined.

The risk vs reward is so out of whack its not even funny. That picture is eye opening and I think it could have been worse

Thank you Cole for saying what you did, but sucks you walked it back.

sigh. So the forum rules here are:

1. if it's about someone's boner move on SnapChat, don't talk about it.
2. if someone's agent doesn't like the unscripted responses to an interview, delete it.

Do I have it covered?

to the OP - this sucks for you. I've been in similar situations, and to have some douchey agent come in and say "Well, it was taken out of context" when it clearly is NOT out context is more than a bit frustrating.

Wake up and smell the coffee people..
You're just the ones providing the money to this industry.
Don't expect to get the truth all the time. keeping the money wheel turning is priority, and if that means distorting reality a bit, then so be it.
This is the brutal truth of the matter.

Yeah. Less smoke in the domes seems to be a recurring theme. As does reallocation of budget. The bottom line brother. Nothing else matters.
