Anybody believe the Bates actually said to Weimer... "Since you NORMALLY crack under pressure... " Then she called Jake ..."Trey" and then she asked Dungey how is was racing against Trey, when Ryan and Jake were the only ones battling for first place.

Glad that Weimer shot back at her "I dont normally crack..."

GO JAKE!!
Jamie Little didn't seem to have a problem with all of the comotion. Now what's your excuse?

Her saying "since you normally crack under pressure..." is not a mistake people. Either she was told to say it or she decided to ask it. Pretty lame either way.

It's not a question of "my excuse".

I was simply making a point and that point is....
Nobody is perfect.

As soon as they have somebody else in there people will piss and moan about how much they suck too.

The sad thing is that you know there are people out there with talent or who would at least try to get better with time. We all see the same thing every weekend... Shaheen can't keep the riders' names straight, Fro babbles and repeats stuff, and Bates apparently just freestyles it and can't put together a flowing interview or ask relevant questions. This isn't a debate over whether we agree that the tv production fillers (i.e. reed montage) take away from the racing; or that the race coverage should be focused in one place over another... I just find myself scratching my head and making perplexed looks at my tv every time I listen to their commentating. I think personalities like Weigandt, Bailey, and Little would be something to aspire to.

Point taken, but no one really complained about Jamie. She was legit.

Tough crowd......
A mistake, or maybe not. She is at all the races, obviously loves racing, and knows her shizzle. IMO she is very professsional in an industry that is trying to catch up with the calendar. I hope we watch her grow old doing this. Would benefit the sport.
She know her shit for sure. She only got 2 of the 3 lites riders names wrong.

What am I saying.....that would bring reason and facts into the discussion.

Carry on with your witch hunt
Exactly, she is not making up questions to ask the riders during the interview. Erin has a producer speaking to her through an earpiece telling her what to ask. She does not have the time to question what they are telling her, she has to ask what she is being told right then.

I remember when people were making the very same complaints about Jamie Little when she was the pit reporter a couple of years ago. Some of you guys act like Walter Cronkite should be out there giving in-depth interviews.

So you're saying she is only there to look good and the producers need something nice to hold the microphone in front of the face of the winner?

Can't be like that?

Hogwash! If some producer said "Ask him if he likes little boys bottoms" you think she's just going to blurt that question out. Seriously, some of you crack me up defending a pair of tits.

I don't care. She's hot. She ask all the retarded questions she wants. If Jeff and Ralph had huge fake cans a fajita, I might like them too.

I think it's right to question everything, but this much emphasis? One could speculate if there's some frustration behind the attacks?
Pretty funny if that sentence was actually made by her producers. Some of you angry guys will look a bit stupid! Smile
Seriously, is the JW question totally uncalled for? Don't you folks see any positive thing in asking hard questions, that often can be a bit provocative? Or you are dying to hear about Bridgestone tires, and I want to thank my trainer crap? I assume JW is not home crying, so really what's the damage?

Why is it okay to slam Cameron, Ralph and Fro when they sound lousy, but its off-limits to point out when a woman screws up or sounds lousy?

Amazing what two bags of silicone will do to some guys..........

Some of you crack me up acting like you know shit about announcing.

It's got nothing to do with tits...it has to do with facts, which you are sorely lacking.

Remember at A-1 when she asked James if he "Had a slight delay?"
Those were Fro's words up in the booth, ask yourself how Erin would have used those same exact words if she is down on the floor and a producer wasn't telling her to.....

The producer tells them in their ear what to touch on, what to ask, and when to break away. Not to sure about SX but after hearing the live feed from NASCAR and IRL races you get a new respect for the TV and radio folks. Lots of talking in their ear while they are speaking.

It sux if people give her extra smack, or less because of that. But I heard she just separated, and someone she said she looks a bit crappy lately which could indicate she might be under some personal pressure or whatever (not hard to connect that to her separation). Maybe I would give her some slack just because of that. But personally I think she doing a very good job by being different, and not doing the political correctness crap. The time she asked Stew after his crash in A1 was one of the best inteverviews I have ever seen in a long while. Few times have an interview had such an impact on me. We saw real emotions, real words. Just what the sport needs! No more of this damn political correctness and death fear of rubbing feathers. I say she rules and she's a cool chick and she have boobs (fake, but whatever at this point).

But you have a point in you assumption that our dicks shouldn't dictate everything. I know mine does which sux.

I never claimed to know anything about announcing, but I do know right from wrong. I also have enough where with all to correct my boss when he's wrong. If he brain farts and tells me to call a customer a loser, I know better than to do it.

You are making my point for me....
You don't understand the job so you can't comment accurately on how you would handle it.

At your job you may have the time to stop and scratch your ass while your brain rumbles around what you are going to say.
That is not the case in a live interview situation with all of the stuff happening around them, someone talking in your ear while you are talking and a camera in your face.

It is typical of a huge number of posts on here. Most of the members here have never lined up at a Supercross but they are ready to bash any pro rider at the drop of a pin. The majority of people on here have never worn an ear piece during a telecast and had a producer “screaming” in their ear, but they “love” to bash a field reporter for a couple of bloopers. Seems easy to do, so does motocross to people that have never ridden a motorcycle. It is comparable to “just sit on the bike and twist the throttle”,” just watch the race and ask questions”. Both are very difficult and that is why so few can actually make a career in either field.

You think it makes her job easier to see a bunch of “fans” that could never get a job in television posting multiple threads about what a terrible job she is doing? This is the real fans plan on how to improve the telecast? Bitch until she improves or is replaced? And kcadrenalin is right, people use to bitch about Jamie all of the time even though she was doing a good job as well. Instead of focusing on negatives how about being thankful that you can watch the races the nest day on CBS and SPEED?

And you make my point as well. I have never once heard a NASCAR reporter ask Kyle Petty "How does it feel to be an also ran"? Never heard a F1 pit reporter ask Surber "Since you don't have a snowball's chance in hell of scoring a point this season, why are you here"?

If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen. I like Erin, she usually does a good job, that was just an idiotic question and as a consumer I have every right to bitch about the product if I don't like it.
