Anybody ever think that Coop is just a 5-10 place guy right now? Roczen and Tomac were better on 250s and already have a few years in the class. No way he runs with them. Anderson and Seely also in the class for a couple years already and very fast also. Dungey? HA! Coop isn't going to just come in and beat these guys. It takes time.

I had him at 7 in my butt-pulled personal power rankings. All the guys who finished in the top 6 were the guys I had ahead of him (not in the exact finishing order). So I guess 3 guys slipped in front that I would have expected him to beat, and he likely will at some point.

The forks didn't move on his bike. I think they missed the setup big time. I hate that excuse and bashed Kenny in the past for using it, but damn, that bike wouldnt set into a corner or lay over to save his life.

Anyone ever think that Yamaha might not have any data on settings? They basically have nothing to go off of... the factory team just came back. JGR had some decent settings they probably weren't in a big hurry to share with factory Yamaha since they stole Webb from them. They may have switched to Suzuki and told factory Yamaha good luck with that thing. Haha just speculation and my bullshit meaningless opinion in a sea of knowledgeable key board killers

Yes I agree that hes getting paid well, but KTM signed TC41 that was known publicly on what 10/3? And CW2 was publicly announced around 10/8? Paying RD1 and MM25, how much money could KTM really throw at CW2?

As much as I like TC41, I think his better years are behind him and he doesn't have the same contract as he once did. Making me think the bidding war didn't last very long.

I'm not judging by one race... Where did you come up with that? I'm judging by years of Yamaha 450 not getting a win.... this whole new generation Yamaha 450 never got a AMA win.

How about a friendly $20 wager? I say a Yamaha will not win a 450sx main event this year...

I love how everyone talks like he is on anything close to a production bike. I am sure his bike has been made smaller for him. The motor is probably moved the foot pegs are most likely moved. He did just fine on it last year when he ran a few races on it. It also seemed very hard to pass last night which meant a shit start equaled a shitty result.

That bidding war started the year before...

Would rather see him get a top ten and progress to the front than win the opener and not win again all year.

He sure as shit didn't look like his former aggressive self riding that 450. Hopefully he'll get in the groove here soon.

IMO that yamaha is a bike that was designed by an engineer not a rider. Sure it is "technologically" advanced but it isnt really what is best from a riding perspective. And with all that mass centralization, its only what 2lbs lighter than the "heavy" suzuki? Im not drinkin the Yamaha cool-aid

If KR94 was on a YZ he still would have been my pick last night. As he would be for most rational people- which tells you all you need to know about you Yamaha haters.

I don't know the skill level of all of you, so I won't assume. As for myself, I know how to ride and pretty well, and the only time the weight of a bike matters to me is when I'm lifting it onto a stand. I can twist and carve any bike I'm riding up jump face, a metal ramp, in the air, etc. and place it where I want to land and the same with corner/rut placement. I'm sure I'll be criticized for sounding Toolish by saying all that, but my point is some of you people are morons about your assessment of the YZF450. One would almost think you're talking about an elephant or train or any random immovable object when discussing the bike. We're talking a 16 lb difference (MXA) between YZF and SXF, for reference most high end boots weigh 10 lb

We'll see how well venting on vitard's goes...

So if the Yamaha is really that bad that no one can win on it, it must mean that James is that great. He had the bike before a lot the issues had been sorted out and still won. Granted he either won or crashed his brains out but he pretty much does that on any bike.

Was Stewart's 2012 Daytona the last time a YZ450F rider won a SX Main? Has the last 4 seasons been Yamaha's worst results in the Premier SX class? My memory is pretty bad so I may be missing some blue bike results.

Time for Yamaha to go back to the drawing board for the 450F.

And no, I don't own one. I'm a honda guy.
