I'd rather see riders at press conferences wear casual outfits with their team coats and such. It just seems to fit better. The suit looked out of place to me

Already a legend? This quick? He'll be a legend when at least wins a supercross title and then some. Great...yes....a legend....no. Not yet. It takes more than wearing a fancy suit to be called a legend in this sport.

I don't even know who McGregor is, but he dressed up like pretty much the rest of the world would for a public appearance like a press conference.
I'd be proud if I was a sponsor of Kenny, very well presentation. And if I was a possible outside-industry sponsor, he'd be the only one I'd be interested in. The others look would look odd dressed to me.
This is exactly what we should be considering.
If people want the sport to pay the riders better, then they need to get better paying employers.
To get better paying employers (*Breitling nod*) you have to give them a reason to want to represent you.

If I was CocaCola, Nike, Under Armor, Levis, Samsung, Verizon, Etc. I would definitely be looking at the professionalism of a sport that you want to put your name behind. Investments people... You think high paid businessmen, stock brokers, and what's not's want to race dirtbikes? Probably not. But do they want to golf? Heck yes. Why? Because they can schmooze with the dudes they're trying to impress/ get paid by while doing it.

If we want the sport to open up to a wider audience and get better night programs, another class, safer tracks, better paid athletes (*wink at vital complainers*) then we need to rethink the level of professionalism that we want from our sport's top guys.

There's a reason that the us open of tennis pays way more to the winners and the staff putting on the event than any supercross race does.

Supercross seems gimmicky to major companies... Yet racing at the elite level REQUIRES training like they are going to race the Tour De France... For nearly 17 weeks in a row! Huge dedication. Huge work.... Not enough reward

He won a MXGP title at 15 years old..... that's fucking legendary. He's what..... 22 years old?

I've been waiting for riders to show up in suits.... do you how much appeal it has to other sponsors. Rather than SoCa chick holding an energy drink with her junk hanging out and Jason Anderson with shit on his lip and bill of his hat covering his eyes.

I dig Roczen.... seriously dig. Fucking teams and riders need to take note. Ken's at his office ready to put on a clinic - in marketing, riding, racing, and branding

No, he won a 250 GP race at 15, was in the hunt at 16 and won a 250 GP (not MXGP) title at 17. You know, the "feeder" series to MXGP, if you put in in Euro terms... Wink

Pretty standard for the young, super talented guys to be arrogant beyond belief when things are going their way. Like most of them, Kenny also falls apart very quickly with loads of excuses the second things don't go his way. The fans of his get to enjoy the trash talk act and the non-fans get to enjoy the eventual implosion. I'm not a fan, but the kid is an amazing racer with amazing skills and can really sell himself to the fans. He's a dream get for a sponsor.

22 years old and will have moments where he shows a young 22 years old. Lets be candid, many 22 year old are doing keg stands. I look at myself at 22 years old and I grew a lot --- we are not all static. He'll have moments of immaturity and maturity. He puts himself out there. Folks like RV said FUCK YOU to fans due to the bullshit from folks.

I am cheering for him --- I hope he takes the sport into a higher direction. Why not have Rolex sponsoring riders? BMW sponsoring a future team? Why not Polo? Blackstone? Why does this have to be an energy drink sport only when riders are racing $100k bikes. Want to riders to make more money --- open the pool to sponship

I love suits. I feel as a whole, society has gone down the shitter fashion wise. It's all t-shirt and jeans anymore. What happened to taking pride in the way you look? Matching your airforce 1's to your rubber watch doesn't count.
However, KR's suit is pedestrian at best. Shirt and tie were terrible choices and his jacket could fit better. If you're gonna make a statement, do it right!
