Essentially if he would have rode tomorrow, it would like going on a job interview at a job fair. Would be racing in front of the teams and sponsors, to land a job. But hey what do I know I'm not a pro rider lol

Sorry I dont agree with their hold out for money thinking. You cant tell me they don't have enough money and resources and know how to dial ANY bike for SX? This will absolutely hurt his career going forward, if he went out as a privateer and kicked ass he would be EVERYONES hero and would get a ride as soon as one opened up or they would MAKE a spot for him because of his character and love for MX.
You must have misread what I said my man, I said they have the money and resources to be out there. So what point are you trying to make ?

I think Reed said it best yesterday..... ultimately, take a look in the mirror. Thats why there is no ride.

Malcolm himself said moto was not that huge to him and he likes other stuff too.

I always looked at him as someone became fast because he had the sickest track in his yard and rode with his super fast brother.

I just do not think its a big deal he is not racing, if he wanted to be there he would be.

I am cool if the Stewart legacy is over until James and his son hit L.L. in 2022?

1/6/2017 8:34am
Malcom and James both deserve a ride, but you know what, sometimes the odds don't work out in your favour. If its a result of wanting too much money, not racing outdoors, etc. Well never know. But thats life.

What drives me up the wall however is the constant drama and "wose me" attitude on Malcoms instagram page. I like Malcom, I really do, but man up, take some accountability and lead with your best foot forward. This sport doesnt need drama queens.

Wilson has set the bar for guys with a great deal of talent in similar shitty situation. Get a few bikes, stay postive, have fun and show up ready to race even if its out of your own pocket. Being the peoples champ is great marketing for a team looking to add a rider.

This wasn't aimed at anyone's post buy my opinion. I may be wrong, the industry may of be playing these guys against each other, but if you want it bad enough you make your own way... Reed is still out there ! He should of seen this coming 3 months ago and I'm sure he has a Honda ALL dialed in and a van somewhere in there with all those vehicles they have. Unlike the rest of the world, if you want to be a musician in places like Nashville where there is MAJOR competition, you don't get paid to play bars, you play for tips but you get in and network with the top musicians in the world...

Everybody believes their entitled--- not !!!!
(Current generation)

If you want it, roll up your sleaves and get at it.

I see it here and every day at work. I've never had that attitude
- my dad would of whooped my ass or pulled me out of bed by my ears to do chores. But he didn't have to.

If I had his skills and family money.... I'd be out there giving my 100% and having fun and knowing he gave his ALL!!

His window is now --- use some of that pent up anger/etc as motivation.

Ok... time to move along, rant over

For Malcolm's situation: you have absolutely no clue what is going on in his life. Beyond that. He did roll up his sleeves. He busted his ass the last time he didn't have a ride. Bought his old TLD bikes and was ready to race. He went from no ride to a championship in very little time. In my mind the guy earned his spot. We all make bad decisions but I don't see Malcolm sitting out in front of Angel Stadium with his hand out begging for money. Where is his entitlement?

The truth of the matter is, in my opinion, he is entitled to a ride. I think a championship for a team should get you something. Otherwise, why is there so much pressure to win the damn things? A series of unfortunate events and decisions lead to him not getting one.

As for the word entitlement. I have been called that simply because of my generation. I'll never understand that. Personally, I worked 2 jobs while going to college. One as a full time web designer, the other as an on-call manager which required me to answer the phone and respond to calls from 5pm-8am M-F and 24 hours Sat/Sun. This was all on top of being a full time student. So that whole "entitlement" shit you are throwing around is horse shit from a different generation.
Why is he entitled to a ride? He's been offered rides, and none were good enough for him or paid enough for him. That's on him. If he wanted more money, he should have made himself more marketable by racing the MX series and kicking ass. This whole situation is no one's fault but his own.

I can't stand social media. The sentences made of hashtags and less than 1st grade grammar is just annoying.

You may be an exception, but there are differences in generations. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but to ignore the different thought processes would be what would be ignorant. Read some of the research before you make statements that are nothing but your opinion.

The positive to this situation is.... A1 is tomorrow and we have plenty of other riders to watch. Ultimately, I appreciate what both bothers have given to the sport! Can't wait for tomorrow night!

I think it went down like this....

....for months (even during outdoors) we began to see the Malcolm instagram posts of he and james together.. eluding to what some rumors were and there was lots of chatter about the Stewarts being on the same team for 2017...one of which teams was Suzuki once Bagget to KTM was a known....Then the news dropped ( behind the scenes before we knew) that Yosh was headed to RCH as the new " factory" team..... that obviously was not going to work for Stewart camp so we started to see the Suzuki/Yosh /Stewart debacle unfold.....no way was RCH going to have JS7- it just wouldnt work..... then we started hearing the possible Stewarts on Geico Honda's...... that could not work out for lots of reasons...bikes, earthquakes and MONEY...... then James and James only was offered the Moto Concepts ride that Brayton happily took and now has a factory supported 17 Honda that James would have had. and I think Honda would had liked to have had.....James turned it down - why ?... no Mookie in the deal? not enough money ??...i dont know..... then they both were left with nothing much to work with.......that was before the monster cup and they do have the resources to do THEIR OWN THING......but they chose to wait and wait.......and lost out....now they both have something in the works, but when you try to start a team 3 weeks before A1....its going to be ugly....and it is.....
