Not sure what it weighs. I believe dry weight on a stock 1989 TRX250R is ~325 lbs, so it would be interesting to weigh this one.

Ti parts are at least frame, a-arms, swingarm, axle, and tie rods. All hardware is titanium, even engine internal hardware.

Engine is a 330, so it should rip pretty good.

Looks good very impressive!

That bumper looks like a Duncan Racing bumper but seems to be made out of Ti, do you know where it is from?

Looks like a bit of weight is left on the table too if you remove the bead locks and go to non reservoir front shocks.

That is a sweet ass 250r. I want to get a 250r one day. Just a bone stock 89'. It all sit in the garage of course, but the history behind them is cool. There were actually some Mugen kits out there for them.

Must have cost him a fortune. I saved a picture of a full Titanium Quad chassis build that was captioned as being a near $20,000 buy in......

I recently had a customer that has bought a few TT2 / TT1 Frames from me in the past, who's thinking about getting me to do a Ti one. "Sure, no problem" I said. At the current price per inch just in the most common size I'd use for the trellis, it came to about $1600 USD. Then you've got the various solid tubes for the engine mounts, footpeg / fairing mounts etc, tubing for the steering head, sub-frame and plate for other areas. At a rough estimate, it was going to cost Me easily into the region of $2,500 + before I fired up the lathe, various other cutting instruments, and the TIG. And, I haven't chased up the price of welding rod, I've only got a few lengths left, and haven't bought any for over 10 years. I do damned near perfect mitres, and that makes for very little rod usage, but there's quite few inches of bead to lay.
Shit, I haven't even given thought to the materials if he wants a Ti swingarm........ And, on a Ti build, I'd be timing every aspect of the job, accurately, and at full wack per hour.

I think he might just settle for a 4130 mainframe, and an Aluminium swingarm. But, he does have a bit of money, so, you never know.

No doubt. He has ~$2,500 in Ti hardware alone. Even the bolts for the beadlocks are Ti.
