Lites guys are all out there pushing it, banging each other, flying off the track, going for it. It's great to watch!

I understand the premier class riders' need for consistency and keeping upright--being older and with kids, as many of them are--but from a spectator's point of view, the "comfort zone" riding that Short, Tedesco, Alessi, and everyone else besides the podium guys in SX class are doing is B-O-R-I-N-G to watch.

Wasn't the sport at one time a "passion" and not just a job to be protected and go through the motions? Do the other riders even ever tell themselves "I am going to win this race today!" ??

Little 15-19 minute races once a week should not even be considered a sport..

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the guys on 450s, you pretty well know who's going to get the top two spots (although you don't know who's going to be first) but the next 5 spots are anybody's guess. We've had Windham, Grant, Villopoto and Short on the podium if I'm not mistaken, that's a good mix. Those guys are trying hard, they just don't show it on TV - and so are IT and guys who aren't riding so great like Hill and Millsaps. It's not like they're just out there riding around, they're trying and just not quite there. But it's a good mix and it's great to watch.

You really think they are just going through the motions? I'd bet money they beat there heads against the wall all week trying to figure out how to put it all together. They are used to being up front and winning most of there riding careers.

Vet954,

If you are trying to sound hardcore it’s not working.

Maybe the 450s are boring on TV. In person? Not so much.

the 450s do look more boring on tv ... why that is ...i am not sure . oldtiddlers observations are correct ... two different mind sets . it seems like the 250 guys are out there trying to make something special happen where as it seems like the 450 guys are trying to make sure nothing real bad happens . my conclusion is that 450s are too much bike for sx . 02 .

The LCQs were good in both classes. They should show those on TV.

i agree and disagree.....

15=19 minute races are for arenacross, supercross should be like 25-30 minute races.... and every rider should be trying to win..... factories should only sponsor racers that win races or podium at least that will light a fire under some of the non-podiumers.
