Same. Good taste jafo. Shields are concealable in gym shorts and t shirt.

Is all this stuff for self defense? I'm well versed in mma and have a crowbar under my passenger side seat if that counts. I have had a gun pulled on me 3 times. Each time I told them they were a little bitch for needing a gun and told them to fight like a man. Each time they complied and got an ass whoopin'. I'm sure i am in the minority here but real men got two hands for a reason.

The weight of unfulfilled expectations.

I have this in case I run into someone on the side of the road that needs any steering races removed. It's really heavy and sharp.

I also have this in a locked safe with ammo in a separate locked container because I live in the land of fruits and nuts.

I have a trigger finger for a reason too. What kind of shady shit are you up to that you've had a gun pulled on you 3 times?

The 1911 itch is one you can't clear up with creams. It never goes away!

Glock 19 and 42. My wife carries the 42 every day, and I carry it when we're together. The 19 is too big to carry unless it's 20 degrees out and I'm wearing a big coat.

She usually take my 19 to the range though when she goes alone.

It's an itch until you carry and realize the damn thing is so big... even commander size. Either way, 1911's hold a special place in my heart.

I've been carrying a Kershaw DWO III lock-blade for years. I just got my carry concealed permit a couple months ago and since I've carried my S&W Bodyguard 380 daily.

They are big and heavy. There's just something about them. I carry my full size quite often. Do have to pick and choose where I sit though lol.

It's all about perception, don't look for trouble you won't find it, when trouble finds you you'll be ready.

Had one confrontation where a guy pushed me and I fell off balance got up and I still walked away. After he threatened to pile drive me into concrete for some other lady backing into him while I was parallel parking. They said it was my fault. And I'm like yea no call the cops.

Was a fucked up scenario but if he woulda started beating me I don't know there woulda been much I could do but pull on him.

At some point it has to be considered self defense, as long as he doesn't have entry holes in his backSmile

I understand 100% bro. Women can be badasses with all types of firearms as well as archery. When my son was coming up I had him active in shooting clubs/organizations as far back as middle school all the way thru high school. And in every instance, whether it was match .22's or air rifle competition, it usually was the girls who scored the best. (the girls who were serious about it and put in the time). The fairer sex just have excellent fine motor skills and a soft touch on the trigger. No chauvinist here, girls kick ass with shootin' irons.

Soooo you're saying....Don't look for danger, but be fearful and prepared with a gun for......any fake danger that you perceive is there, but really isn't?Dry

It sounds like you're using the "Don't plan on crashing but be prepared for it" motocross logic as reasoning for needing a gun.

I can understand the "sporting" aspect of using a gun.....but the defensive aspect?....when you're not in a war....or your job doesn't require you to regularly be put in harms way.....I don't understand where the fear comes from that encourages people to carry guns.

IMO, possessing common sense will do you more good than a gun. Just sayin...........Merica!

Just like my fire extinguishers. Hope I never need them, but if I do, I'm glad they're there.

ETA: Fear and preparation are two completely different things. One example I use often is the Rodney king riots. The few business owners that had weapons were the few that didn't get destroyed. Were they scared of day to day activities? Probably not. We're they prepared? Yup.

I wasn't suggesting that everyone in the world respects common sense...but rather that, common sense can be more effective than a gun to protect yourself, and your family, from an irrational person.....even one to whom common sense means nothing.Cool

I feel like you should spend some time with a dictionary.
Irrational by definition means not logical or reasonable.
So how would common sense fix an irrational person or be more effective? What they are doing is.... not logical or resonable.

So someone decides to start sledge hammering through a thanksgiving day parade....and he's coming at my wife next. Maybe if I just shoot some common sense into him he won't crush my wife's skull in. When he's bleeding to death on the concrete common sense will set it in for him "probably shouldn't of hit people with my sledgehammer"

And like...we have open borders. And some people don't like us. And we let a lot of people in the country. (Great im all for allowing immigrants to come here that want to be here like MOEN.) and idiots in the country pledge allegiance to toerrorist groups. And psychiatric hospitals are full and discharge psychos after 180 days because they can't pay.

And
and
and the list goes on for why i carry...and... what's your and?

Oh and you ever been hiking in the mountains of West Virginia ? Ever come across a mountain lion that's ready to wreck your world? I'd like to have a chance against one of them too.

And....again what's everyone else's "and...."?

And most of the time I just like setting up 3 gun courses to rip out a fast time. Brap. It's like Moto !

And you shoot and miss and hit an innocent bystander...shooting at a range is much different then shooting while you are under pressure. If you are going to pull it out you better be prepared to use it.

I rarely if ever carry, I guess I am just not that scared? I would not recommend walking into my front door though...
