Funny when a Herlings thread comes up on here, like an irritant to so many, much the same way as a JS7 thread.

Once saw this guy in a Ferrari F40 years back stick his foot to the ground from standstill and the thing ripped the tarmac off the road, actually ripped fairly deep into the surface! Was great!

... also got overtaken by some Ferrari in a tunnel in the Alps... when the thing come by it must have been doing 180Mph odd, crazy fast.... sound it made was mental in the tunnel, was all echoing!

Speak for yourself bro. My only limitation on toys is the room in my 3 car garage. You'd be surprised with how much some people have stashed away as well as how much some are in debt. Moral of the story, don't make ignorant assumptions.

Funny where is all those who say F GL because YS does not pay purse money. The top guys in Europe are paid as well or better than the top in US. And they get paid travel expenses when they are a top team in points by YS.

Meaning affording a big money car, cool.if you got the $$,. Anyone can take pictures sitting in a car. Post a pic of the title and owners drivers license proves they own it. And you shdnt assume people on here have $$ and these vehicles. Assumption goes both ways.

Did you even read my post? I said, don't make ignorant assumptions. I didn't think that needed additional clarification. Apologies for being so obtuse.

Always one in every post that thinks that dig somehow hurts American's feelings about the NAME of their MX series. Ummm, two things: He does race a national series, it's the Dutch National series, where he frequently gets injured for his other gig, racing the GPs. Second, I think the original statement was referring to a combo of US nats and SX, but I'm just spitballin. Big JH fan, but he would do great and make plenty racing in the US as well as he does in Europe. Even if it is that second rate, MX National series we have here with our slow, not so fast guys like oh, I don't know, EVERYONE (heavy sarcasm alert)...Not discounting the tops guys in the GPs at all, but the depth of talent in our little old national series seems better than in the GPs, in both classes? Now have the US Nats shrink their gates to only the top 20 (which is the norm in flyaway GPs) and talk depth... Anyhoo, the point was JH $$$, and I think he would do as good in the states, and fix a lot of "Yank's" perception of him at the same time. Flame away.

BTW, which side of the road do they drive on in the Netherlands? Could be a real deciding factor in how hard he really balls!

So he asked someone to take this picture while he struck a pose whilst wearing shoes he stole from a sci-fi movie set. Mmm'kay.

I want to respect the Euros but then something like this gets posted and it makes me want to go cut some social welfare benefits and buy a gun. Come on Euros!!!!!

Sigh, at least he's not wearing a scarf.

Top 4 450 US riders would be comtenders at GP level. After that the depth is way off what the GP's are. Would be a real shame if Herlings were to ride US nationals. Watching him on proper sand tracks is part of what makes him so special.

The smartest top guys save their money and spend wisely, because they know the window of success in this business is so short. He's one major injury away from selling it on the used market Wink

Please explain to me which of those 11 riders would be "way off what the GP's are".

Bingo.

Damn at first glance I thought Herlings had a good old American V8...

I'd prefer that or an R8 over a Ferrari any day.
Matter of taste I guess
