Moto The Movie sucks

I really can't understand why people are even stoked about this boring product. Weird unmelodic music that you don't even care about, montage is pretty much random, shots are ok but could be more original and the worst thing: talking. Who watch moto movies to listen about obvious things "oh I ride here I love it, we are training very hard, riding with him giving me extra motivation, it's so fun bla blabla" it's so annoying. Maybe I could swallow it if they could put interviews before riding parts.

I mean it's not a movie that you watch before riding to pump yourself because of that talking and for a documentary movie it doesn't provide any useful informations. It would be 10x better with energic music and just pure shots. I don't know when guy who create these movies will finally understand that.

Edits from motosport and vurb are actually way better and I can watch them for free. Even famous barcia platinum was created from moto the movie clips and it was soooo much better than actual part from the movie that no one even remember.

I humbly disagree. I've enjoyed every one of the Moto movies, some more than others, but I have them all. I'm actually heading over to the Moto 8 premiere tonight in Santa Ana at Yost theater...

I love some of the dialogue depending on who they're talking to and about where they're riding. There are plenty of movies and edits out there for just banger shots. Some of the locations they've visited and the intro/outro shots of those scenes have been creative as hell. But that's my opinion...

How many movies have you made?

Give the guy a break, he works hard to provide entertainment. Not everyone will love them, but he's out there doing what he love to do and helping the sport grow.

I disagree aswell. I think the movies are great. If you've ever done any film editing, youd know they u put a ton of work into this series. I always go to the showings when they come to atlanta. Its a cool atmosphere... Everyone is pumped, there is always a few well known Pros in the crowd.. Good times.

I enjoyed 1, 2 and 5 a bit but it's still far from making me stoked, you know it's that feeling when you need to turn off the movie in the middle and go ride, because you are so pumped that you can't handle it anymore. I think that's why people started to making moto movies and for me, moto the movie fails in that category.

Saturated market is your problem. Back in the 90's there wasn't 3-6 new videos out everyday. These would've blown your doors off 20 years ago...

If the masses agreed with the OP, I doubt they'd be filming an 8th one.

I'll be at the Moto 8 Charlotte premier later this month

That being said I love what he comes up with and there isn't anyone on par with the quality of work that goes into it.

I watched Terrafirma 7 for the first time like week ago. First part blew me away and Carmicheal scene with Deftones in the background... I was speechless. I can watch it over and over again. And I'm not like some old prick, I'm just 24.

https://youtu.be/8Xm9XSjOYgY?t=34m26s and this shot, it's just perfection. Beat's any super slow motion 1035225fps shot from Moto The Movie. I think I was born like 10 or 15 years too late, that must be my problem :D

The edits are usually better for the same reason trailers are often better than the full movie. Its much easier to pack in all the sick shots into a 1 min video, the hard part is filling the rest of the time. Maybe it's just not your cup of tea, but I for one will be at the Portland premier for sure, if anything just to support the industry.

The only thing i agree with is the music. I find that moto vids nowadays are pretty forgettable as far as their soundtracks go, most of them rely on electronic music and a lot of the times it just doesn't gel. Moto vids used to be all punk, metal, industrial. Hell, I lost count of how many bands i discovered through Crusty Demons of Dirt and Terrafirma alone.

Besides that tho, i love the Moto series. They're absolutely stunning to watch.

I don't know, they created great part with Hanny in Moto 6, short speech at the start and then just riding, good music. I think Vurb did much better work with Epic and War Machines, OTP movies were great and Moto The Movie is pretty much at the bottom of the ladder in my opinion and still getting more attention and money because I don't know... it's created with better equipment, pretends to be more proffesional, but I'm more than sure that there are already people in the industry that can do a better job.

But seems like I'm in the minority as always... well it's good that at least you guys enjoy it.

God damn stinky Europeans!! Apparently there's a surplus of salt over there. I bet you hate 2 strokes and kittens too. Fuck. You should start threads about more things you don't like, I'm sure we'd all love to read about it. I'm really sorry about the accident that left you without arms and unable to rub one out when you get a chubby, I'd be an asshole with all that pent up energy also.

Agreed. The "Moto" movies are the best. Some people need to understand this isn't the 80s and music these days is electronic for the most part. I love old music (and get super happy when some Metallica or something gets a feature) and two strokes (who doesn't like two strokes?) but I'm not going to smash the sport for what it is in 2016. I love this site but am tired of seeing this sport get bashed

All the "MOTO" movies are great. We are spoiled for choice of what we can watch these days.
Back when we got out first VHS player, 1984 I think the only thing you could get that was moto related was "On any Sunday 2".( got to be one of the worse movies ever, a shame it had the "On any Sunday" name in it.
