there is one thing you guys don't know. nobody cares about how much people they had in attendence today because it doesn't matter. that was just a test for the ama and world championships sx tour in 2018 when all of the americans gonna ride a full on ama sx in that stadium. youthstream already signed a 3 year contract with the venue and the fim sx worldchampionship is finally coming to europe with 3-4 races.

remember this post when you see the sx schedule 2018!

Do you have additional evidence to verify that claim? That's quite the announcement to make. YS signing a 3 year contract with them has little to do with the AMA and the SX championship at this point.

I was told from a buddy that talked to Aldon Baker last week, that 2018 will have a 25 round supercross series and 3-4 of those rounds in Europe.
I wonder if that was my buddies cousins sister?

He told me 27 with one in Europe?

FYI I thought that track was lame.

the point was to test the stadium and the infrastructur. doesn't matter if they build a full sx track or just a hybrid. was important for those guys to know how everything works with the stadium, safety instructions, police and all that stuff.

To check all that stuff without a crowd sounds somewhat subpar to me but regarding attendence there are much bigger events there on a regular basis. So I'm wondering what they were "testing" there. Probably the cozyness of Guiseppes wingchair in the VIP lounge?

The first thing i thought of the event, they call off the Glen helen MXON and nobody is questioning this pathethic piece of shit event. Like really?? The track was to fast and not technical enough Ktm raced some second choice teams like Yamaha Kawasaki and Suzuki teams where already out of the game before even starting the event they where gate fillers. And the worst of the whole night by far the rider presentation infront of empty stands and the WORST ANNOUNCER IN THE WORLD!!!
Talking french with the french riders not knowing the names of the riders having to look on a piece of paper they have Lisa Leyland walking around who i'am not a fan of either but is a 100000x better then that french idiot. Fox Holeshot with the 85cc guys Paul Malin not knowing the the riders numbers (Not his fault but still) and letting them start by a guy holding his hands up and sending them of like its a car street race the list of bad things goes on and on. I was thinking while watching why the fuck did i pay 11'99 to watch this, thats probally why i'm so angry hahah Laughing Laughing Laughing

Fuck even I have raced in front of bigger crowds than this and I suck at riding. Wonder what was going on in Dungey's head racing in front of those 30 people..

What an embarassment for the sport! How the f*** did Luongo get the contract for 20+ years for the mx world champs without the FIM being challenged?

I'm 100% sure that if it would be a full blown SX track the people would have came to the show if the tickets where at a reasonable price 25-30$ max for regular seats and 45-50$ for the best seats in the house.

Nobody give's a fuck to watch the best riders from every factory team across the globe to ride around a indoor flat track with 5 jumps and sand whoops we got that in the Nationals and in the GP's

for references please go check
all other european sx races like Bercy, Genova or Stuttgart or even Stockholm last weekend
SX means spectacular jumps and technical sections AKA BAD ASS DUDES ON A BAD ASS TRACK = people will come

So we lost the MXoN's....because we didn't get enough people at the USGP's.

Then nobody shows up for the SMX race.....and they say " It's ok.....it doesn't matter how many people showed up"....??

What the hell am I missing? " Indoor motocross " I really don't think it'll work. To make it interesting for the fans ( Like Andy said above ) ...you need big jumps , timing sections , whoops and freakin' Dirt!.....Not sand! Could have some sand sections , but to build a flat looking track like that , in sand....there wasn't really anything there to interest the fans who showed up.

Giuseppe Luongo hates America. Oh and Bears!

I was there and heard that around 5000 tickets were sold. In a stadium that can hold around 55000 it means no vibe, no crowd participation... germany played a world championship qualifier that day, so maybe there would have been more if that wasnt the case but i doubt there will be a second smx next year..

What time did you take that? No way that's it.
Yeah this is definitely not during show time. The blue bottom sections along the sides were pretty full, but yeah attendance wasn't that great. The official number that I got was 10,000, which I'd say that's being generous.

That stadium rocks when Schalke is playing in it, the race didn't do it justice.

I like the format, I wish they would make them more technical and have more of them in the mix when they do the 20 races.

Nobody knew the track would be like it was when they made their plans to go or not. There are reasons why nobody went to watch, but a sand track isn't one of them.
