Where was the yellow flag , when Anderson rolled

It was 100% the Flagers fault what happend to Anderson and the japanese rider .Remember he could of got hurt badly too . I sickend that high profile people are blaming the japanese rider , it s bullshit . Anderson has the most blame as a rider , he should roll out of the racing line. But this still does nt matter . This is 100% THE FLAGERS FAULT . there should have been a waved yellow . Just like what happen after the crash .

This is getting a bit ridiculous. Not the flaggers fault. Don't roll the finish line jump. Lesson learned. I cringe every time somebody does.

Your kidding me,
Another thread, my same opinion.
Race is not over until the last competitor crosses the chequered flag,
Anderson rolled over a double jump on the racing line.
How could any flagger be that quick to act on that, the guy was already waving the checkers.

If this was a differnt day and say ryno, one punch tyler or Westen had jumped onto a squid rolling a double then punched the squid out, you guys would be cheering them on.

you put it out before the chequered flag on the jump , just like what happend after the crash .there was loads of yellows on the jump , and every one rolled over . If that is the last lap and Anderson rolls like that , a yellow would be out .

I don't get it, people winning supercross races roll the finish sometimes (and celebrate as they are rolling it). Supercross is ALL jumps and people roll the finish... this is not Andersons fault and jumps shouldn't be taken out of all finish areas. A lapped rider doesn't have anymore racing to do when the leader wins, this guy just had a brainfart and unfortunately jumped onto Jason.

So everyone should roll the finish line jump after the chequered flag, since it was impossible for the japanese guy to see anderson rolling the table? Does it really matter if it was a lapper or not? Herlings landing on him would have been the same...

Yup, you race to the line and do the jump like every other lap. If the lapper didn't see him, you can't blame the lapper. What happened sucks, but don't roll the finish line jump.

There should be a a rule that everybody has to jump the finish line and not roll it. Or if you roll it you have to move to the right. What if Hearlings was the one landing on Anderson head? It would be a dif story??

And the yellow is for a downed/crashed rider, not a slow one... or I would be followed by a yellow mexican wave around the circuit.

So nope, no yellow flag required. Just a crap situation that hadn't been an issue until that incident, effectively a blind 'slowing down area', jumping it wasn't wrong, rolling it wasn't wrong. Im sure we will see some sort of future advisory not to roll the finish line jump.

Thing is- if Anderson had fallen off/ stopped then maybe wave the yellow flag but he hadn't, just was going slow.
Never seen a yellow waved for that and also he had finsished the race.

No, every situation is different. There is a lot going on in an mx race with a lot of racers on the track. Normally,I jump a finish line jump like everyone is suggesting. sometimes I don't because for some reason people up ahead rolled it (or the leader rolled it with the checkers waving).

Exactly, get off the racing line, that's a fast straight followed by a 90 degree last turn,the jump is blind,everyone jumped it and that guy was committed,even IF he saw him it would've been too late

I would say if you're going to roll it, do it standing so that anyone coming up behind you can see you are rolling it. Just like we all do when we are checking out a new track for the first time ... off to the side and standing so anyone coming up can see you are checking things out.

Never hurts to keep checking on who/what is behind you as well.

Has the Japanese rider been interviewed yet on his thoughts?

Didn't Anderson have quite a good look behind just as approaching the finish/ jump? Or was that just to check on Herlings and not the Japanese rider?
