He's definitely on something with that price, but wouldn't surprise me if someone paid that. Let's be honest, there probably isn't too many still sitting in a crate.

Yea I'm looking at a pic of my 04 when it was brand new and there wasn't a decal on the swingarm at all.... Cool to see one around that era still in a crate anyhow...

The real giveaway it's an 03, is that the swing arm and link were new in 04. The 04 swing arm had the black plastic caps. Different mounting.

I got four crate Kx's. Once in a blue moon someone will comment they want to buy one. You know. Will I ship them for free. Can they pay payments. Oh bro man day ain't worth but ah two grand. The stories they come up with. F man go buy buy a project off Craig's. See how that works out for you. Lol. One dealer had a bunch of CR two strokes. Wished I had bought a few of those. But they wanted MSRP for three yrs past leftovers.

All I can say is someone paid more than this guy is asking for a crated 86 ATC250R, and he sold it at a profit above what this guy is asking to a collector who just had to have something that nobody else has.

As long as that bike stays in the crate...I have no doubt it will be worth that price.....someday. But not today.

The last generation of RM250 (03-08) was AMAZING. The 04 RM250 is a fantastic bike.
You are correct, and this is what happens when one uses a "smart" phone with old eyes. We do not see the most obvious.......

Matters very little based on the the revised ad.......he got a bidding war going and a fool to spend $23,000.00, or he is on crack and could not take the barrage of emails from new friends

I think there is a missing level of motorcycles. I would love to buy my 2003 WR450 for $5000 though. R and D is paid for, and the bike was good enough for my, ahem, talents.

More than likely he got a bunch of people telling him he was delusional and so he updated the ad saying he sold it for 23K. I'm not buying it.
