I was wondering if y'all thought it was stupid or actually if y'all got what i was saying.

All sides of the media and politicians put everyone into groups. People are grouped by race, politics, income and now people who wear blue. The media and politicians tell you how each of these groups of people think, they tell you how you should think. Then they pit this group against that group. After that people get online and defend their "group" and attack the other groups. But what if we grouped all people by the content of their character or better yet judged them by the content of their character? There are good and bad people in all walks of life. In all the groups the media and politicians have created there are good and bad people. It's not fair to condemn a group of people for the actions of a few.

Isn't this true? Sorry if this is politics, I tried not to make it about sides but more about what's wrong with the media and politicians playing everyone. Yes it's kind of simple but more than fair, we are going to self destruct if we stay on the road we are on now.

Yes I know my writing sucks, 3rd grade level whatever, but some may get my point.

Agree 100 percent. It's bullshit. They want us to be divided, literally. If us idiots could put aside the small issues (in the big scheme of things) that separate us, those being the ones our media portrays as our countries "biggest" issues, then we could all be moving towards a better world (though, i will say, I enjoy the shit out of
My life and it is tough to imagine a life better than our current state. Broke college student btw). Sadly, there may be too many stubborn people who may never see past the bullshit. BLM = Lib, NRA = cons.
I know those are two very typical/obvious associations, but if you look at the majority of issues that separate us, they stem from one of these stupid pol. Ideologies we have. I don't feel like making this post serious enough as I'm sleepy and in bed on my phone, but hopefully y'all get what I'm saying.

I agree to a certain extent but of course it depends on how far you want to take it. We do have to group together some things based on trends because it just isn't realistically viable not to. However at the moment it does seem to be going in a divisive and vindictive direction with this worldwide SJW phenomena in the west, which seems to want to officially categorise (and enact laws around) everyone and everything on a scale of privilege, rather than on the substance of someone's character and actions. The media has become more of an entertainment business model over the last couple of decades, for sure.

But they've also exposed some things that we'd rather not deal with because it upsets the status quo, and that riles up some people.......

The country has been completely bamboozled, and all sides are truly pissed. I truly think it is being done by design. We have a joke at work that the revolution will not be televised. We talk about what the best guns are, the best guns for the revolution, black, white guys, hispanics, asians, etc, joking about taking each other out, asking if they want us to pick up guns or ammo for them, what neighborhood they will be safe, maybe we should stay out of the sun, better go to a tanning salon, work on your spanish etc....good times,

I talked to a guy at work about virtually the same thing today. It seems like most people I know personally are relatively centrist, yet the (social) media portrays this outrageous division between two estranged camps of left and right.

Ever since the presidential campaigns went from stating what they can do for the people and the country to just bashing each other 99 percent of the time is when i said no more for me. It's just a huge joke now. No one needs the government to be successful and wealthy. I believe that if you are on facebook bitching about the government you will never be wealthy. All my successful friends pay zero attention to the media or government. We strive for us and we pay or taxes and take care of our families. The rest and our opinions do not matter. Politics play out by design. We don't have time for that. Its for the sheep and the puppets. Try to ignore it and see how much easier it is to succeed.
I don't see color or sides. I will be nice to everyone and guess what, i could care less if you are nice to me, i will still be nice to you. Lol it ain't easy having fun. Peace

Perhaps you will be more attentive when property taxes go up 100%, and $0.75 of every dollar goes to pay for Government debt. Can you live on $0.25, for every dollar you earn? No more motorcycles.Why do you think so low Interest Rates? If interest rates were normal 5-7%, Governments will default on debt. Government consumption is out of control. Democracy can still work. But you must participate. Why do you think people fled/ died crossing Atlantic in 1700's. Fleeing government taxation. Freedom, Don't give it up. "You don't know what you have, until it is gone".

Politics, racial ussues, jobs. I find it so funny that i have had a dozen contractors at my house this year and they all say the same thing. No body wants to work, people complain there are no jobs but these guys give every single person a chance and no one wants to actually work. If they do then they want extra special attention and then even more special attention . They want a gold star for being on time. They want 40 hours and bitch about 39 then bitch about 41 hours claiming people need a life. Its a wierd entitlement time in our society. I think the opportunity is there for every single person to succed. The only thing holding you back is you, not government, not race, not me. It is actually quite easy to succed in the world. Life's short so do it right and don't let anyone tell you or make you think you can't. I grew up dirt poor but by my early 20s i could of retired. Just have to make some sacrifices and the right choices in life. I want to start a reality show where i take the identity of people and get them jobs and watch them either realize thier worth or prove thier own demise. It all on you.

It sure seems that the media will take a micro-portion of my life and lump me in with others who may be totally different and blow any thing that sounds controversial out of proportion, then claim that this collective group is wacko.

I have been posting here for quite some time, longer than some, less than some. Over that time I think that most people here could park next to me at the track and by the end of the day we probably would go away with a positive experience of sorts. We might have different opinions on things but that makes for good conversation. Probably not approve of some things in each others lives, but overlook that to find common ground.
All of a sudden we are less divided after actual interaction.
