I may get crucified for saying something like that, but I really do think this kid is the best type of rider. A lot of style, but is also ridiculously fast, does things that make my stomach drop just LOOKING at it.. And has a laid back, fun attitude. Much more interesting and creative then a usual regimented, hard training, racer.

When he grows up he wants to be Travis Pastrana. The kid has fun on his bike. Hard not to like him.

Yup. His Instagram videos and snapchat videos are cool. He has fun and that's what it's about. Didn't he race A class lorettas not to long ago?

Fun to watch but would anyone know him if it wasn't for his brother? If I remember correctly, he has had a tough time finishing near the top ten at lorettas

Honestly, I think Axel is helping his brother get more publicity.

Also, who do you think gets more ladies, a top 10 guy at loretta's, or Axell Hodges. My mone is on hodges, and we all know that is why we really ride moto

It's funny to me that people put judgment on Axell or his family before ever meeting them. Axell is rad, I wish I had a tenth of the bike control he has. Just a kid having fun riding everyday like we all used to.

The kid always has the sickest setups, great style and some serious control over his bike.

So what is his background? Many people say he is a rich kid with way to much free time. If I was a brand i would seriously love to have him wear my stuff, he has a huge amount of fans on social media and seems like a guy who only has 1 thing to his mind: having fun. I love his vids but I remember in a video mcgrath said he would turn pro really soon? Seems like he doesn't race that much anymore. Last time i have seen him race was monster cup i think.

I should've added for those who are commenting about his lack of results or when he's going to going to go pro.. I think that's part of the appeal for me. He's more of a showman and I think is trying to make a career out of entertaining and marketing. I'm not sure if he's making a living doing what ever he's doing, but I know he's still only 19. But I think his main "job" is putting out content for content creators like Dirt Shark. And I think that might be a new option for guys wanting to make a living in moto in this day and age of social media and everything like that. It's like being a freestyle rider, but without actually doing tricks, competing, or doing shows.

Brah, If you're not training 7 days a week and alienating your friends, family and girls then you're a fag and will never amount to anything in this glorious sport!

Kid can ride a bike.....no doubt about it. Very talented. Reminds me a lot of Tyler Bereman. ( spelling? )

Definitely cool. Will it pay the bills though? Seems like there are a few guys doing the same thing, seems like a good gig.

Have a photographer buddy that was at chaney ranch with all the kawi guys during the kawi commercial that mcgrath is in...Simon Cudby told my buddy that axel was one the most talented riders he's ever seen...My buddy Rich talked to Axell for a while and said he was a real down to earth kid and actually converses and what not unlike trying to be cool like his brother Ashole hodges Mr cool guy. Axel has a lot of talent regardless his wealth or people around him...
