Hi, i have a RMZ 250 2013. Im 6'2'' (190cm) and about 202lbs (92kg) so im pretty heavy. I have no limitations since im only a weekend warrior. I just know very little about tuning 4-stroke mx bikes.

I have a vortex box, new cams and new axhaust. What is the most bang for the buck when it comes to HP?

Option A - sell that Zook and get a KTM or Yamaha
Option B - sell that Zook and get a 450.... any 450.
Option C - loose 80 lbs

Get a 450. I'm about the same size you are.

its desided. getting a 450, loosing 80lbs would make me VERY skinny.

You got the cam...pipe and ecu..next in line is a high compression piston. If you still want more..get the head ported.. If you still want more...run race gas (vp 4.4)...If after all that you still want more power...get a 250 two stroke...
Most bang for the buck would be head porting mixed with race gas.

That was my point. Some things aren't achievable... I'm in the same boat

Didn't see it mentioned yet but I'd say a 450 would do the job.

Come back and see me when you're 290 lbs in gear, and on a 96 CR250.

As the old saying goes, "There is no substitute for cubic inch."

I'm 6 foot and 192 pounds. I feel just fine on my 2013 KX250f although I am not terribly fast. I think you have probably just gotten too fast for the bike. Not too heavy

Get a 450 or send the engine to Derek, pro circuit, eleven10, or whoever you like.

Don't get a 450, get fit, do an insanity work out or something and drop 20. I'm 200lbs and even though it's on the heavy side for a 250, 450s are shit. I'm out there for fun not to drive myself into the ground flailing off the back of a 450.

My 2c anyway, after a kxf450 and wr450 I'll never buy another one again, the power is fun while you can handle it but once your tired (quick) those things are pigs. 250f I can pin all day and have a blast.

If more power is what you seek, see the Show your 500s thread for guidance

I would try the 450 before you make a decision. Those things are fast

Try a 270 kit ? Nice boost in low-mid pulling torque.

"Add 2 teeth to the rear sprocket"..
This.

You will lose some top speed, but the acceleration will increase noticeably. This is the cheapest mod you can do to add power to your bike.

Put a fresh new graphic kit on it. Always adds a few horsepower to my bikes.

I'm 6'1" and 230. I love my CRF450. Being a heavier guy the bike seems to handle a bit easier too.
