I like your bike rack. Great idea.
Yeah great idea. What if you make it out of 2x6 like you said and then mounted it on the wall you would gain your floor space back and I think it would hold the back wheels the same as now??

Just acquired this S-Works Enduro to refresh/renovate during the fall/winter months on the occasions when my travel schedule allows me to be at home.

Geared race rig.

Had to throw this in too. It's not even a month old Smile

SS just got a Fox Step fork. Love riding this thing. Steel, smooth, best fork I've ever ridden.

As you should sneak that in there.. Congrats that is quite an accomplishment. I don't think people realize how damn gnarly 100 miles at 10k and above is...

I'm in the market for a new XC toy so I don't spend so much time on the road. I want a new intense, since they are local to me. Anybody have advice on witch one or some pictures of your Intense?

Their new Primer is probably what you'd want. 29 and fairly short-travel machine for distance, etc.

Very nice!

small buckle or big? Have you done other hundreds you could compare it too?

I keep getting tempted by the lottery, but the High Cascades 100 is a ton of singletrack, not an out and back course, and pretty local. So far I keep doing that instead.

Thanks guys,

ACBraap, I live in Oklahoma which is flat as a pancake compared to Colorado. None of the other 100s I've done around these parts compare to Colorado. Most mountain bike events around here are 6hr endurance races.

I checked out the High Cascades 100 and if you can do that then I think you could do Leadville. I would just recommend going out in advance to pre-ride so you'll know what each of the climbs are like. The way the course is, it's easy to get to each section for pre-riding.

The photo in the buckle is a sub 12 hour. Within the five months before the race I had a pretty big surgery that set my training back 10-12 weeks and was diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia 20 days before the race when my lab work came back. Based on the labs, I was losing around 35-40% of oxygen transportation. On the starting line I seriously had no idea if I would last the whole race or just a few hours. My last training ride before going to the doctor only lasted two hours before having someone come pick me up. Then I stayed off the bike the month leading up to the race. Funny part was it never even crossed my mind to defer my registration for next year until about a week after the race lol. I'll be shooting for a sub 9 next time. Sorry for the novel.
