Really curious what an actual fuel injected two stroke would be like

Why on God's green earth would you want to loss 2-3 hp and add $1500 worth of parts just because you can't adjust a carb. This will go as good as air forks.

because I'm slow enough that the ease of the carb would offset the 2-3 hp that I'm too slow to notice

Most large outboards have been fuel injected for years. Absolutely more HP than with a sloberator, displacement to displacement. My 2.5 litre v6 two stroke drag motor tuned to around 310 HP idles like a dream and pulls cleanly from 700 to just under 10000 rpm cleanly. Sometimes you forget how good efi is until you don't have it. All the F1 race boats run efi.

Ossa has injected 2 strokes. Bring on the EFI for 2 strokes.

Fuel injection blah blah blah....you dudes should just try a Smartcarb or Lectron, they work great. I am not sure why they haven't caught on quicker for mx. Carbs are acknowledge to make greater overall hp numbers than EFI anyway.

Of the 2, the Lectron seems to be a little bit better put together and easier to tune initially.

Smartcarb had their share of production problems ( I run an early billet version) but hopefully they are past that. I know that they perform really good on sleds and a lot of guys had great results on snowbikes too.

Sorry, you answered our questions, overall hp is not the be all, rideability/ consistancy is what most of us need.

Im sure the smart carb is fantastic, although as you said early products had issues, and none of these carbs are perfect out of the box.

For the average rider fuel injection is " perfect".
