Yeah, sorta ODD...

Some Brits do seem to be suckle JH's NL/EU teats .

He rides with finesse, he jumps bumps like maybe only Musquin does, but even better.

Dont agree with him staying MX2 for so long, but i dont see US guys like J Mart getting stick for doing the same.

Im not expecting anything, because every time i do , something screws it up.. shame its not Glen Helen they are racing at , Charlotte will be a fricking bust

Herlings is a BEAST, and one of the fastest on earth. No problems here. Should he not win, what do we say of the winner? I only wish Webb is directly trailing him at some point.

Tony D was winning races in the open class when he was 15. And he did it on as a privateer riding a bike built by commies. When the AMA found out he was 15 they sent him home and said come back next year. I think that's how the story went. So many interesting characters and stories from the early days of the sport.

I know. Has nothing to do with the thread. I Just like that story. Tony D is a total bad ass.

Omg a instagram video just determined the gp winner and fastest 250 rider in the video lol put herlings in a 250 sx race in 2017 and see of he can even gwt a top 5. I guess people forget that our guys practice sx half the year, where gp riders are riding outdoors year around. I think itll be a good race between the 2 but with a special talent like herlings and him being a pro on a 250 for 7 years is ridiculous. This is webbs 4th year pro outdoors and hes moving up next year. You can say that herlings went pro young all you want but so did bubba and roczen. Roczen has been on a 450 since 2014 and he went pro a year before herlings.

Some people are just going to hate on Herlings no matter what. Kid is fast, probably one of the fastest in the world, and he will likely clean up on the 450. But on American soil/American style track, I gotta give the win to Webb.

And villopoto beat the world by a minute in both motos at the 07 mxdn on a 250 and he was what 19. Whos care if herlings was 16 when he beat him. Hes been on a 250 for 7 years now dodging the big boy class. Peopme would be saying the same things about bubba if he rode a 250 till 08, rv till 2012, tomac till 2016, or roczen till 2015. If tomac was still racing a 250 this year would you say that hes not cherry picking? When youre a talent like herlings or bubba or roczen you dont ride a 250 for 7 years plain and simple. He may be everts records on paper but he'll never be more then a cherry picker to most beside the few that think hes a god.

They probably don't mention that Baggett crashed, because Baggett didn't crash in the moto that Herlings lapped him in at Lommel. Cairoli did show him who was boss in that last moto though, although Herlings did manage to get up off the ground in turn one and beat everyone who easnt named Antonio by almost a minute, so he didn't do too bad to be fair.

I don't care who wins, as long as there's finally some good racing in MX2 this year.

When was the last time Herlings really battled for a win without coming from the back? (not not Ferrandis being a roadblock for 35 minutes)

It's gonna be good.

Herlings havent moved up to MXGP class because KTM havent let him. They had Cairoli winning in the 450 class, and Herlings in the 250. Now when Cairoli probably isnt a championship guy anymore they move up Herlings. Herlings will do just fine on a 450, might even win the championship. When Gajser won the championship last year everyone said he won cause Herlings wasnt there. Gajser moves up to 450 and will most likely win the championship his first year when everyone was doubting him. Ofcourse Herlings will be a title threat.

As of Herlings vs Webb, I think if theyre both 100% and has nothing to lose Herlings will beat Webb most of the times. Now in Charlotte Herlings got alot to loose, not saying he will race but hes mostly there to salvage points getting that title. Both Herlings and Webb is/has been injured. As of MXON there will be a whole other level on each rider, just look how well Barcia did last year.. And Webb will ride a 450 in Italy, im not sure about Herlings but I believe hes on the 250.

I remember when RV moved over to Europe to train for the MXGP championship he was practicing a bit with Herlings, Herlings was on another planet even to RV. RV even said it in an interview.

Herlings is riding the Open Class, just like he did in 2012. When he used a 350. Same in 2011.
Brian Bogers will be riding the 250 for the Dutch MXoN team

You gotta remember Jeff standouts at the GP's
Not saying Jeff wouldn't kick ass in the A class , he would , Webb can't even start!!
But what Jeff has done until now hasn't amounted to a hill of beans either, whereas Webb has AMA titles!
Like TC222, Everts etc... Who can be awesome but shying away from the A class their whole careers? leaves no legacy! much like what will happen with Jeff if he hides in the GP's his whole career!

Everts & Antonio have 18 of MXGP titles between them, titles that signify the highest level of sandbaggery in our sport!

18 B class titles ! don't equal 1 AMA title , for comparison

So when you see fast guys in Europe ? You're always left scratching your head as to why they are so scared into staying there

Same in Canada , CMRC's Colt made $500000 in his whole career , AMA factory riders get paid that for being benched one season

Same with fast guys in Europe that never Leave would rather just collect a smaller payout , steady , than risk it all and have nothing

In the states they call guys like Jeff - sandbaggers

Wow bro, I hope you're just messing around.

You do realize, that MXGP stands for Motocross Grand Prix right? AKA Motocross World Championship.

And what you call "A class" is AMA National Championship of USA and almost every country in the world has it's National Championships?

In most cases MXGP champions already have a couple of their National Championships under their belts. I know it's different for US due to its size, but it's a NATIONAL nonetheless.
