Worst, most painful crashes were in the desert, both involving silt and speed (such speed as is possible with me), one a classic desert downhill (still not sure what happened, probably a buried rock), the other finding a rut at night.

My other bad one was about 3 weeks ago I was hitting my friends tabletop and the weekend before was doing it pretty good, but for some reason couldn't get back in the motion of controlling the bike in the air and going fast enough to get air lol. Anyways I was in 2nd and hit power band before the jump, got way too much air, kind of supermanned and let go. Landed on my feet, then fell to the ground because I hurt my left heel somehow. Walked funny for about a week, hurt pretty bad the next, and this week it's actually starting to feel better. I would say it feel like I "cracked" my heel in half lol. But I guess I probably just bruised it pretty bad. Wasn't wearing riding boots. I realize this has nothing on the rest of you but maybe within the next couple years I'll have a better story to share
Over jumped and landed in soft mud. Over the bars and onto my back. Chiropractic found break yesterday, just trying to get confirmation today.
right wrist, broke both bones, 1 pin
left shoulder, broke my humerus off flush with ball in my shoulder, 2 pins

1st Worst: I showed up at the track(just to hang out) hung the $%^& over and my bro offered to let me take a few laps on his bike. Ehem... Endo over the finish line table. Never even made the slightest attempt to eject. Landed pretty much upside down, flat on my back, and got FULLY F@#$%^G CREAMED by the bike(CR500). Everyone thought I was dead. Five minutes later, I walked away with a cracked pelvis and a shredded nutsack(How TF?). I never rode any way but 100% sober after that.
All my broken bones were the result of stuff that was no where near as bad as those.
When we collided, it knocked my right arm off the handlebars and turned them to the left. The front wheel went left in a hurry and it would have been a simple highside, except that the bars got hooked on his radiator or something. I fell onto his spinning rear wheel, which picked me up and stuffed me under his fender. My right arm and head were sticking out under his right sideplate and the rest of my body was tangled up on my bike and on the ground to his right. For a moment, he didn't know what was going on and tried clutching and downshifting.
Eventually his bike stalled, but not before that rear Dunlop nearly cut me in half! Sonofabitch that hurt for weeks.
Pit Row
June 13th 2004, swapped out in a 4th gear whoop section and slammed into the face of one, backwards on my right shoulder at a rather high rate of speed (I thought I was Tim Ferry). Broke every rib on that side in numerous places punctured the lung and split my scapula with an inch wide crack through the socket. Let alone reshaping my whole right side a good two inches in the process.
I went to Washougal that year walking the hillside in a rummy state of opiate delirium, utilizing every empty chair I came to for rest, much to the dismay of whoever owned said chair.
Of course I kept riding at a rather sedate speed which caused the screws to back out and scrape my humeral head flat. Finally got it repaired in 2014 with a new titanium ball and plastic socket. It's wonderful to finally live a rather pain free life. We won't talk about the other dislocations and fractures because, although quite numerous, pale in comparison to this moto career ender. My surgeon said "Don't fuck this one up as I can't repair it again."
This happend on my first lap, first race back after 6 years off, what a come back. I rung my bell pretty good, and hyperextended all the fingers on my left hand. I still finished the race and raced the second moto. I didn't want to quit on my first race in 6 years. Worst part of it was the injury to my left hand gave me arm pump on that arm all year.
This was not even close to my worst crash, but it is the only one cought on camera.
Never disrespect a 450f, I learned it the hard way haha
First I just rode one lap around a familiar track. Ten had a little break 'cause I got arm pump already. Then I decided to go all out the next lap.. Got half a lap in and overjumped one hill jump and landed to a pit just before the next jump.
Then I slammed myself hard on the tank and lost a grip from handlebars. Then I was already airbourne from that jump and was kinda in superman position... Not in control though.
I landed to my feet and hurt my knee so band that I couldn't walk straight for 3 weeks. But nothing got broken and the knee healed back to normal eventually.
I never broke anything while riding. Probably 'cause I was so slow. Haha.
It was not motocross but it was at Loretta Lynns. This past weekend at the Spring ride.
I very ill advisedly tried to keep up with a AA rider and it didn't last very long.
Just a few stitches and a badly bruised knee. Probably doing, no joke, 35mph when I contacted the tree with my bike and right leg. A set of $99 Thor knee guards prevented a bunch of damage.
The guy who came up behind me asked if I had my phone and suggested taking a pix...I know it's kinda weird but glad he took it.
Not that bad a crash, but decent results. Looking back it's a bit funny, although my wife has never seemed too amused by it.
I was having a fun day battling Rob in moto 1 up until the 7:55 mark. After I got done kissing my axle, I got back on an finished the moto. I didn't go out for moto 2 though - played it safe. This was my 2nd moto concussion of 4 total (2 in football, 2 in moto).
Also have broken a femur and tore up a knee in moto. Femur was a big crash but many years ago.
