Don't know if this is old news or misinformation but...

I wouldn't be surprised. Have a few friends that have worked there forever and said their business has really gone down the drain the past few years.

They may have overstepped their bounds a bit on saying they're closing down. As far as I'm aware, that isn't happening. But a lot of people are pointing to them not sponsoring the team next year.

Placed my first order with them earlier this year since they gave BB the seat and was very happy with the service. That's a damn shame if they go OOB. Happens to the best of them sometimes unfortunately.

The news came out last week. I didn't want to be the tin foil guy and start connecting the dots when the fire happened Friday night when the team was all out to dinner.

One has nothing to do with the other, as BTO Sports is merely a sponsor, like any other sponsor.

Butler Bros MX (BBMX) is the team's owner, wth 100% control by team manager, Forrest Butler.

BTO is just a sponsor, nothing more

I would think the hauler was owned by BBMX, not BTO. They just wrap it with the sponsors logos. So next year they would have just re-wrapped it with the updated sponsors.

To what benefit would they do that? You don't think that in their position, it'd be pretty stupid?
And since (one more time) BUTLER OWNS THE RIG AND TRAILER, NOT BTO, what benefit would there be?

I'm far from the inside, but swear at one point when BBMX was dropped from the team name that BTO had actually assumed part ownership of the team. Is that incorrect or am I missing pieces to the puzzle? Regardless, major props to both BTO and the Butlers for a hell of a run and hopefully when/if they separate it's a long run for both still in their respective roles.
