He announced from the podium at Lorettas that he will be attempting the last three nationals this season. Have there been any racers who have previously not scored their first national point until after winning an "age" class at LLs? How do you guys think he will fare against the current crop of pros in the 250 class?

Arik is pretty damn big for a 250f. He rides the hell out of a 450. He said he's riding the 250 class? Either way he will do it with smile Smile

Yep, like Hoss said, Arik is a big guy and has been fast around NorCal for a long time. My guess would while he showed the potential 7-8yrs ago he probably had to get a real job due to finances and that will put a hamper on anyone that can't spend all their effort towards racing. I've seen him ride ridiculously fast so it will all depend on how prepared he is for 30+2.

He probably sells enough of the Northern grass to fund his racing now... Laughing

Well that's perfect for me, I've been having trouble with my St. Augustine sod I laid down 4yrs ago. Damn squirrels digging it up for their nuts and my dogs pissing on it to mark their territory has left it patchy and weed ridden in just a few years. I was thinking for changing it to a tall Fescue or even a hybrid Bermuda for durability. I'll have to get his input before I start that project...

I rode a couple times at swanpound circa 2008. Maurice hooked me up. It's bucket-list material. Absolutely awesome. Pumped for Arik.

Watched him race mini bikes and ended up racing him quite a bit , he was from my home town, swanky is a good dude. I always had wished to see him do more around the 2005-2009 era, speed has never been a problem for him......hopefully he can get some good starts and hang onto her till the end. Hit it hard swany!

You guys realize 30+ is a Sportsman Class, right? You can never have held a pro license to compete in it, but now he is going to race the nationals, after decimating a class that had no prior professional riders in it? And people whine about C class on here....

Plenty of people in 30+ have had pro licenses, you just can't have scored points.

You could've held a pro license just couldn't have earned a point in pro racing.

I know guys riding that class that has pro licenses for a long time.

Yep, just no points. Was different when it was B/C. I think these sportsman rules are better. It is a national championship.

He did some WORCS from time to time back in the day. Yamahas if I remember right.

Glad to see him ripping still!

That was an epic 3rd moto Arik had!.....Another epic 3rd moto was Bostard in the 45+; taken out with a dirty move on the 1st lap (which the guy respectfully admitted to on the podium), he came back from outside of the top 20 (as Arik did) to make 2 passes on the last lap for the win!

Last year was my first year at the ranch and the first year they changed the +30. I just remember being in stagging and "the fast guys" rolling threw with A kit, and hand me down factory parts. Hell josh hills old HH bike was on the line. All I thought to myself was "God I'm glad I brought enough Busch light for the week" because I ain't holeshotting nobody

I was in the +30 class in 09. Went 13-1-3 for fourth, totally blew it considering I my practice times and the training I did leading up to the race. I bought a former local pros bike because I couldn't afford a new one. It didn't AKit suspension or anything super trick and I pulled a holeshot. Props to Swan!!!!!!
Wish I could have a saftey meeting with him at LL. Seems like a cool kid
