Im happy he was at the track on a dirt bike I think he just needs to get recalibrated after his kid I'm sure his mind hasn't been 100% focused on racing the past few weeks....

This is my take on James and I am a huge fan.

When he was suspended instead of training hardcore he put that on the back burner. Sx preseason came and he started to prepare but maybe was already behind the 8 ball. He went into the Europe races and got hurt. I'm guessing they put a slight damper on his boot camp to really get ready but maybe not totally.

He got fucked up at a1 which obviously turned out to be pretty serious and much worse then anyone predicted. Again still not able to really train. He comes back and keeps getting hurt.

He has his baby and more Injuries and to make a long story short I feel the guy just has not ridden at all. That's what I take from it. I think what we are seeing is James's pretty much off the couch showing up to these things putting in one good effort and that's all he has.

I think when next season comes if he is riding it will be a different story but I think we are seeing a talented guy just showing up doing what he can that does not have his main focus at the time on racing considering all of his circumstances which I can't blame him
