USA MXON Team

6/28/2016 10:14am Edited Date/Time 6/28/2016 10:18am
MX1: Tomac
MX2: a Martin brother
MX3: Webb

Coop can ride the 450 there and put a Martin brother on the 250F. Webb beat Febvre and already has a 450 baseline setting he can jump on from last year's off season excursions. Also Webb is better and faster than Seely. That is our best team with Dungey out.

We are going to need a FAST team with Gaiser, Febvre, Cairolli and Roczen out there...

Also,

Who thinks that Roczen says no to MXON and instead wants to focus on the new Honda and '17 SX? The same could hold true for the Martin brothers. What if Yamaha won't support them for MXON? They are both leaving blue... That may leave Savagty as the pick for the MX2 class... All food for thought. If these guys can't get the teams to send a bike and personnel they ain't gonna go.

ya but febvre is the only guy with fast team mates to back him up.

I like the idea of Tomac, Savatgy, and Webb.

Or we can keep it simple:
MX1: Jeremy Martin
MX2: Alex Martin
MX3: Vann Martin

LOL! Always pullin for my boy Vann!

Imagine how close and exciting a Tomac/Dungey/Webb vs. Gajser/Roczen/Herlings battle could be. Woohoo Sadly France and Belgium are the only Euro countries with 3 riders fast enough to win.

I think USA should go for:
MX1 - Tomac
MX2 - Savatgy
MX3 - Webb

Ya on paper you are really strong but if you wanna challenge for the win than Tonus has to stop crashing. Just like Germany and The Netherlands, could be really strong but everything has to go with as few errors as possible.

Mx1: Eli Tomac.

Mx2: Either Jeremy Martin / Alex Martin / Joey Savatgy, depending on who preforms strongest at the end of the season.

Mx3: Cooper Webb on a 450.

I don't know if Alex can ride for USA because he raced for Puerto Rico in 2014...

No way. Andrew Short used to be really fast too and a potential rider for the MXDN. Should that make him a consideration? No. It's about 2016, and Barcia hasn't done much of anything in 2016.

I don't know about 10-15 US riders faster on a GP track than Covington. I know there are a few better options than Covington, such as Jmart, AMart, Savatgy and Webb. But I think after those 4 he would be a solid option for a solid result.

Definitely. On a Euro track and if he rides like last weekend. But he hasn't really been consistent because of his injury.
Maybe next year he has a shot to get on the team. He will probably be fighting for the MX2 title with Jonass and Seewer (I assume he stays in Europe?)

Sorry, but where did you see Webb beat Febvre (except in Japan) ?

I think your probably right. Unless Thet put Webb on the open bike and one of the Martin boys on the 250.

We are barely talking last year bud, not 6 years ago. Barcia, Tomac, and Webb have proven performances at this race.

There's no precedent for an American rider racing the GPs being picked for the team that I can I can think of even when we had World Champions available.

I just checked the lap times and found that Rubini and Geerts were half a Second faster than Sanayei on their 125s Blink
Did they cut something? I didn't See the race
