For not having an axe to grind, you sure went on a long rant; and you don't know all the facts for not being there. At least you are good at making assumptions on previous experiences in different states....

Shane disrespecting a woman white or black is wrong. The fact race was used is a racist comment and not called for at all. If nothing was said about this at all it only lets this escalate into something else. I might be wrong because I have not been to other events but I have heard there have been issues before with him. I hope he learns you get farther in life being nice. If he feels he and his mechanic do not need to apologize to anyone I'm sorry for them. We as MX family know better. Let's let him know if he can change he could be welcomed back. The Ball is in his hands and let's see how he plays, as a team or alone.
Mr. Info speaks in riddles (Sorry, Mr. Info), but one interpretation of this comment is that the mechanic's name is Shane, not Larry.
He's responding to the poster Shane who called the female security guards a dumb white bitch and a dumb black bitch. Looks like that comment got clipped as deserved.

Unless I read it wrong (I don't think I did but can't be arsed searching), the team didn't give the boot to the mechanic that behaved like a true wanker, but they fired another member of the team who didn't toe the company line and wouldn't blame the victim (security guard).

Basically they shit-canned a member of the team who it sounds like actually told the truth to the powers that be which painted the team in a less than favourable light (to put it mildly).

Broc embarked on an poor attempt at spin which while semi-admirable, damaged his credibility and which some of you swallowed hook, line and sinker.

PFitzG38, you sound like a switched-on bloke.

I actually felt this way as soon as I read the words Broc used to describe what she said. TOO stereotypical, and sounds like it was an excuse formulated by a racist.

I only felt compelled to respond when I read your post. Nothing too convenient, I still had to type it?

She doesn't sound like a hard ass with a gun if she was in tears.

If she was out of line at all I'm assuming we would've heard by now from some of the calmer heads that were there, or seen video; however all we hear is the exact opposite from an impartial eye-witness.

I'm operating in true Vital fashion by assuming, jumping to conclusions and only going by what I read on the interweb. In other words this only my opinion and I could be completely wrong in my interpretation.

I don't know any of the instigators either and I'm only going by 3rd party accounts of other prior incidents, you'll understand when you read the entire thread.

Slater could be a great guy, but I've heard otherwise from multiple people I respect. I probably shouldn't have called him an asshat though, I heard someone else get called that today and I liked the sound of it - my bad.

MxBroc, I understand your attempt to set things straight, but you really have no basis for doing so. Your information is admittedly second hand information provided to you by members of your team. It's very naive and careless of you to link your own credibility and reputation defending a position you did not witness yourself.

If you have some sort of actual proof, then you would be better served providing such information. There seemingly is a substantial amount of first hand accounts coming from reputable sources indicating your team owner and mechanic handled things very poorly.

I think he (Broc) has made a tactical withdrawal as it hasn't taken long for him to realise that he has been caught with his pants down and is stepping on his own schlong.

His own team has thrown him under the bus by trying to turn him into a bridge salesman on this forum. I understand him doing as he was told though in order to keep his job. He should stick to his day job though.

***Edit***

PS. I'm not meaning to have a crack at him. I respect him as a rider.

Broc, while there may be good reasons to not post the videos you have, a picture of the the 2 hard cards that you claim are in the rig would be a good place to start and shouldn't offend anyone. JMO, for whatever it's worth, which isn't much really...

Thanks, Slipdog. I wasn't sure since the context was lacking: that makes much more sense.

Is this the first time you've been on a forum? Your posts sure sounds like it is. :-)

Why does everybody care so much? People are so ridiculous getting upset about something that has absolutely nothing to do with them, and has zero bearing on any facet of the sport.
There are certain posters that are always "offended" by some meaningless shit someone in the industry did. Get a life!

So let's get this straight, you're trolling this thread just so you can tell the people to get a life? You have a case of warped logic and may want to put a little more thought into your comments before posting.

I don't know anything about all this shit thread but I agree with you on contracted security jobs. Some of them take their job entirely to serious. Also, the whole "he made racial slurs" and she made racial slurs (but lets be real here, no one considers "a dumbass white boy" a racial slur in our world) just sounds really fishy to me. I think they both probably said something. I don't know many black women in my area that would go to crying about being called a black bitch or whatever it was. They would be ready to throw down about it, not cry about it.

Sorry I'm so late to this dance and haven't been glued to Vital since breakfast.

Only you here that have ever actually met my teammate, Broc Schmelyun, would know the truth and honesty of his words. I have been John Slater's partner (marketing) in building this team from absolutely nothing but a dream and have EVERYONE (even most of you here) tell us we'll never get it off the ground. There is so much passion behind this team it is indescribable....because we're trying to help this Neanderthal industry go find new food where it currently is only regurgitating it's own bile from its stomach lining. Those 'ugly looking plastics' and billboard advertising are a must for future business growth here.

With that said, my coworkers, under the unfinished-bike-being-delivered circumstances, were understandably emotional and I'm sure frustrated with security. Our mechanic does not lie. He said 'in no way shape or form were there any racial slurs thrown, whatsoever.' That will never be tolerated whe I'm involved. Through 10 pages of posts there has only been one member here that was actually present (so he's told me over the phone but cannot be verified to truth) during the initial gate altercation.....Rock. Rock was previously released from the team under 'MUTUAL' agreement from both parties at Glen Helen '15. DC himself said he had no idea of any of this happening without Rock's interpretation. All due respect for LB and being involved for West Coast SX (even after we lost Bloss 4 days prior to the East Coast opener under his management??) but he was already let go from the team, we just never went public. Why do you think he was suddenly a mechanic for Outdoors. Both of these gentlemen are grinding axes.

So be it. This entire episode has been an embarrassment to the solid program we've worked so hard to build. The Alaskan Assassin is still in good hands and we're happy to hear that Ryan Breece did not break any bones after his big crash at GH.

We will continue push forward and exemplify the utmost professionalism for all our sponsors as well as this industry we can never leave.

Buy BLUE Buffalo for your pet. It's still the best pet food on the market and we all at the BLUE Buffalo/Slater Skins/Yamaha Team greatly greatly appreciate your continued support. Long live VitalMX

Posting that doesn't seem to be an 'utmost professionalism' thing to do.
