Thanks for setting it straight broc, theres always another side to a story like this. Thought I saw you at breezewood a couple weeks ago, so I stopped over to wish you luck. Turned out to be a friend of yours that had one of your jerseys on he said.

If it gets to the point where video is being shot, it's likely not a good look for anyone. Also, I'd guess it's doubtful that it catches whatever started this.

Much like the riders weren't held responsible for the actions of the owner and mechanic, neither should the sponsors be IMO. No need for the pitch forks here.
That's pretty naive imho. Their sponsored by Blue Buffalo, therefore anything they do reflects on the sponsor whether their there or not. After last years GH fiasco I will not buy a rocket exhaust, now nothing from Slater or Blue Buffalo.

Blue Buffalo needs to make a statement that catagorically states that they do not condone in any form the conduct at GH, and should terminate the relationship with Slater.

I had a friend who worked for the Budweiser drag racing team. Race weekends, they had to wear Bud gear, even if going out for a drink, they were only allowed to drink Bud when in uniform, if they had acted like the PC hanger ons did at Hooters, or even did something only 1% as offensive as happened at GH, they would have been fired on the spot. Everything they did reflected on the Budweiser team . They were expected to act profesionally, and they did.

I understand not buying rocket or slater products since they were directly involved. But personally, I would draw the line there. This had nothing to do with Blue Buffalo. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

MxBroc111 you heard the story of your people, I heard from several Factory teams around your pit and why would a CSC Security guard go off unless she was attacked. There was no reason any of this would have happened if the one person followed direction that were the same for everyone. If you ride for them you know of other issues your owner has been involved in outdoors and indoors and this information comes from people who are in charge at the races. We never accused the riders of any wrong doing and on that fact our security head went to Davey and John and asked to let the riders race. Everyone one under the tent before or Security got there were involved but only 2 were the biggest trouble makers and asked to leave. Your story is second hand. I saw a first hand of your team owners actions. I hope the team gets it sorted out.
I know this looks bad for the Blue Buffalo Team....but....my cat likes Blue Buffalo.....and I am a MX racer and I know how we can get on race day......and I know how security guards can get........and Mr. Info's story doesn't add up either. i.e. If the issue was with your security, how could everyone under the Blue Buffalo tent be involved before your security got there? (Maybe that was just a wording typo in your hasty anger, and not a biased spin on the story) I'm guessing both parties could've de-escalated the situation at more than one point, but one was very determined to get into the pits, and the other equally determined to follow the rules. Judgement for nobody! Just don't do it again....Oh yeah and Team Blue Buffalo, your samples are always appreciated! Blue Buffalo, healthy gourmet food with tantalizing flavors!

Two sides to every story, and the truth usually lines there somewhere in between. Sure hope we don't loose a great outside sponsor, and people keep supporting them as such. If they wish to distance themselves and their product from this particular team, there are plenty of other teams out there in desperate need of your assistance who will no doubt represent your product in a way that it should. Carry on.

Now this definitely sounds pretty realistic! And why it escalated. My personal experience with these security people has been that they are not very professional themselves

Mr. Info's story lines up with another poster who was by the team, and DC said that Mr. Info's story is correct, and it was based on other witnesses. No offense to Broc because he's been really cool about ot, but he wasn't there, and has made it out like his team members were innocent so I think the info he is getting is a bit biased. If there is video, I'd like to see it because from the outside looking in, it looks like Mr. Info's account is pretty accurate. Besides, you'd have to ask yourself why they were kicked out? Was everyone else wrong and they are being picked on? Seems a bit of a stretch to me.

What got me wondering was no one coming to this girls rescue . A bunch of guys are going to sit and let a guy abuse a girl, ? So, if she did get it going and then the owner is asked to leave i can see him getting sideways.

Oh,well,in a day when everything gets videod it is a shame this was missed .

Is that to say you didn't read my entire post.......or you are confirming for Mr. Info that he did indeed post a wording typo? Because Mr. Info's story doesn't line up with reality, forget about DC or anybody else. Again, If the issue was with security, how could everyone under the Blue Buffalo tent be involved before security got there? Just sayin. I'm sure it's a wording typo.....but since words are the only thing we have to judge by here.....it makes a difference. I'm not taking sides, just saying the part of the story where he insinuates blame on "everybody" under their tent doesn't line up the way he tells it.....which in itself might be telling.

The Rock seems like a decent bloke, and if the behaviour of the referenced members of the team was defensible, I daresay he would have mounted a defence by now. While it is possible I have missed it in six pages of posts, I don't think I have...

Absofrickinlutely. No kibble for the dogs until Blue Buffalo publicly denounces their actions. Sorry pups we have to stand by our principles.

MXBroc111, I appreciate you coming on here and taking the posts. Since you are only reporting what you were told, I can't shoot the messenger. In any event, Glen Helen, MXSports, and the AMA handled things in a very professional manner. The best advice I can think of sharing that you to pass on is that some of your organization would be well served by googling the term "California Hate Crimes". From what I've read so far, they could have quite easily found themselves learning about it the hard way. If anything, your disgruntled team members should be thanking Glen Helen, DC, and other officials for handling the manner in which they did which obviously kept the situation from spinning further out of control. A vehicle coming into contact with or even driven in a threatening manner towards a security guard in combination with racial slurs is never a good situation to have to explain.

We don't and we wont. Just be glad this isn't a real sport with real journalism (no offense GuyB, ML, and Matthes) because this would be plastered on websites, tv shows, and the like until the very last detail was wrung out. Thats the real world that most of us live in. If I went to my job and had a situation like this transpire, I wouldn't be able to keep it private. That is life. Again, be glad this is a glorified hobby that 99% of people don't care about. It's just a shame the 1% of us that live and breathe this sport are forced to be kept in the dark. Sorry if this offends anyone..... it's the truth.
