They both lapped your boy RV. So much for him being faster than Reed

So is Reed just this much better this year...or Stewart not as fast on the Yamaha...or a little of both?
1/10/2009 9:03pm
I am not a Reed fan, but I have to give him credit in this case. Most people (myself included) didn't think he would have what it takes to stick around and mount a charge late in the race in hopes of passing Stewart.

I was wrong, and it was nice to see.

Stewart was pretty confident in his yamaha before he showed up to A1 and realised reed had lifted his game

Good race; hopin' RV or Grant would be closer. Hope Hill keeps progressing off the injury.

Should be good on the tube.

Buy the webcast. It was seriously awsome. But Chad and James were within a 2 seconds the whole race and he got it to .5 but couldn't make the pass.

Seems like they both slowed up through lappers and Chad lost most his time there. Have to learn how to get through that quicker. Great race

Reed entered with a 25 point lead. He has an 8 race cushion 1st to 2nd. If JS falters (doesn't win) even once, he's probably toast. Twice, he's finished. Reed's gonna be good to ride around in 2nd all year. Close enough to heat Bubba up, but no need to do anything stupid.

As KW said a few years back, you can't win a championship in the first race, but you sure can lose one.

Its a long season.. reed can make a mistake between now and the end, or stewart could make another one, with the speed reed has shown tonight and last week i think he wont be happy with second, if he keeps getting in battles like the one tonight i will bet he goes for some wins

That was the best 6 bucks I spent in awhile. I really thought Reed was going to pass Stewart.
With dial up, you can listen if you only have 1 window open, so no typing and listening.

JG got the holeshot, Stewart was 2nd, and Reed 3rd!
James got around Grant on lap 1, and Reed got around Grant on the 3rd lap.
James led the entire race.

Tight track, Reed rode smart for the championship and a better opportunity to kick ass later. Pressure on James to win every race now....doing it by .5 sec will eat him out this week.
